32 Mark of Princes Regimens 2.0s 0.5s 9.0s 0 An impairment cast on an opponent that has a chance to heal allies and increase armor class when the opponent is succesfully attacked.35 Involuntary Healer Regimens 2.0s 0.5s 9.0s 0 Impairment placed on an opponent that can cure trauma impairments and replenish health over time when an ally succesfully attacks. This is the readout of the 2 spells that are pretty close to eachother. I was wondering if anyone noticed ANYTHING with involuntary healer, I haven't noticed any heal or HoT when I'm fighting a mob with Involuntary healer on.. I haven't noticed a spell messaage as well as my group members (although they could just be morons) I also haven't, on the several occasions I've specifically looked, seen any green heal #'s float over my group members heads that aren't part of a Vitae or other reactive heal. I'm sure I'm just missing something but would love if someone could prove me wrong in thinking this spell is close to worthless. Also I want to know what the spell message looks like so when it does hit me or a group mate I know what to look for. Also, has anyone noticed that these stack? I should hope so being so close to eachother.

<DIV>They do stack. Mark of Princes is an instant heal proc + AC bonus. Involuntary Healer is a barely noticeable HP regen., I think at level 35 it regen'd ~34pts. a tick. It's just an extra "yay" spell to throw if you have the time. Maybe someday when we all have adept3/master1s of spells we will all go: wow, involuntary healer regens for 120 a tick + reactives + procs. But for now, Involuntary Healer is one of those spells that isn't a make or break.</DIV>
<DIV>it does not work... Auria is the only poster I've seen regarding this that swears it works. Everyone else swears it does nothing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've watched and watched and it does nothing.</DIV>

<DIV>Notice 2 of the threads were pre-"big patch", and in the third (post-"big patch"), I too say it's broken. It used to work, I'll stand to that, I had a 49 heal proc that regen'd over time that can't be explained (As my adept1 Mark of Kings proc's for 94). Since the patch I have used it from app1 to adept1 levels, and never seen results.</DIV>

<DIV>I have tried this spell and I have never seen it proc anything when hitting the target (like the ac bonus does with mark of kings). I thought I saw it get rid of a trama once and I have seen some +35's on the tank (saw this when I was level 35). Mark gives +40 so I don't know where the +35 is coming from, but I had assumed it was Involuntary Healer. I saw the +35s on the same rounds as the +40s. I have both spells at App IV.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I will try and run some more tests and see what I come up with.</DIV>

As a follow up to my original post and a confirmation that the people who say it doesn't work are wrong. It does work as well as its upgrade Involuntary Curate. The only thing that doesn't work about it is the icon that would show up on your maintained spells list. Whats so nice about this spell is unlike Mark of Kings, this spell procs on casters who DD. I think at app 1 at lvl 49 Involuntary Curate does like 57 heal per tick for 4 ticks. Plus it has a chance to heal bleeding with each tick, but I'm not 100% if that part works since most bleeding effects don't last longer than 1 tick anyways. It does work just use it a bit and you'll see those little baby #'s flying over peoples heads in no time. I normally dont use it unless on the big encounters and even then I only use it once I know I'll have enough healing mana to last the whole fight. This spell isn't effective enough to make itself into an Exp group.
<DIV>I second to it too. I have seen it work a couple of times. +34 + 34 + 34 +34. </DIV>

Level 38 Templar vs Level 37 Rabid Hound in River Vale. All I did was auto attack. I chain casted Involuntary Healer. Did this for over 3mins and it never healed me once.

<DIV>Involuntary Healer does not work</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mark of Princes is the spell that heals 4 ticks, like +39 +39 +39 +39, amount healed of course is dependant on your level and the spell level</DIV>
I have never observed Invol Healer to work nor have the lvl50 templars in my guild. The Mark line can proc on all casters when they nuke the mob afaik. I have been "marked" when nuking a mob.
<DIV>This spell does not work.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When i cast this spell, i see the spell effects, however, there is no icon, nor have i seen any healing as a result of this spell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In addition:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sure upgrade mages so they can do triple the damage, and leave us poor healers with the same healing power to try to keep them alive when they get triple the aggro...then penalize us for not being able to keep them alive by sharing in their xp debt..........then give us spells that don't do jack...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Not sure if it's worthwhile to bring this back up, but this spell does work. It does not heal over time - it's an instant heal. If you stand there not doing anything, your templar will throw up his hand as if casting a spell. It doesn't do much healing, but it's a little something you can add if you are the secondary healer in a group. I use it more while solo'ing than in groups because the fights last longer and with it I rarely need to cast reactives or anything else on me.I'm at level 45 now.<div></div>

<P>It does work.</P> <P>Mark line triggers when YOU hit the mob.</P> <P>Invol. Healer triggers when the MOB hits you. Also, its not a HoT...it's a 1 time heal and if you have tramua on you then it will cure that too.</P>

Involuntary Healer does work, to be honest I've never noticed the heal, but I've seen the cure proc. Given the speed of most fights I normally don't bother casting it. Just getting a divine and mitigation debuff and the HealOnMobDeath off before the mob is dead is generally a challenge in a full group. In hard/long fights (raids or when there will be a gap in cast/recast timers that I might as well cast something), I use it, just because its there, and it might help. Also soloing where I use all my debuffs at the start while the mob is mezzed.<div></div>

<DIV>hey first poster here but i'm just to say there are some important differences between these 2 which make them both important</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>involuntary healer procs when target damaged whereas the mark line procs on melee attack. </DIV> <DIV>Involuntary is a direct heal and direct cure so no icon will appear when it procs. The trauma cure is also several lvl higher than the single target cures.</DIV> <DIV>Mark also decreases divine mit on the target so for the smiting pally/templar it helpful. (note it used to proc increased AC mit but doesn't anymore)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Hopefulness on <span class=date_text>04-20-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:53 PM</span>

I hate to say this guys, but the thread was over a year old, I don't believe there's any dispute as to wether or not the spell works at this time.

<div></div><blockquote><hr>Shinkceb wrote:Doesn't mean we can't discuss the spell, does it?<div></div><hr></blockquote>No need to get snappy with Lairia, she's one of the oldschool Templars and was just pointing out this thread is as old as our Templars <span>:smileyvery-happy: Involuntary - You cast it on a mob, and when that particular mob strikes your tank in melee combat, it has a chance to heal them for a small ammount and cure trauma impairments. You will deffinately notice this proc'ing when a trauma icon pops up on your MT and your Templar goes through the Cure animation and you get a message "Knockdown etc etc was removed from Tank" even though you had never hit the cure yourself. I've watched it several dozen times, I'll be mid cast in Dire Intercession and I'll suddenly do the cure animation. * Triggered when an enemey stikes an ally in melee combat Mark - Basically you cast this on a mob, and anyone that hit's the mob has a chance to trigger a minor heal over time on themselves. It also lowers the mob's divine resistance (helpful for Templar nukes /laugh and Paladin taunts) * Triggered when an ally strikes an enemey in melee combat These skills are not game stoppingly helpful in solo or heroic encounters. They get their most use during raids, where everything counts. Involuntary has cured Debilitate from my Guardian MT before I have a chance to realize it's on him and cure, Mark has made it easier for my Paladin OT to build secondary aggro right off the bat with lowered resistance and also provides a continuous HoT to all the melee dps dealing with a damage shield or minor AE's. <DIV>Wow, that's some darn fine necroing you got gonig there <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For the record, when this post was being made involuntary healer did not work. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It was fixed some nine months ago now though, so now it definitely does work.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for how good it is, well Nova covered that. Suffice to say that if you cast a spell and cannot tell that it has done anything, it is not much use. I still cast it on most encounters if I have time though.</DIV>

<DIV>Please don't bump ancient threads. As other posters stated, the spell was fixed. If you wish to discuss the spell please look for a thread that isn't over a year old to discuss it in, if one does not exist then start a new one.</DIV>
