<DIV>First post here for EQII. Q. I have not seen adept healing spells at all in game. I am a scholar (lvl 15) and I spend alot of time out and about and browsing the markets. Am I missing something? How do I get updates for my healing spells like Arch Heal? </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV> <DIV>C</DIV>

<DIV>Hey Drakesbane,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> You probably aren't do anything wrong whatsoever. The fact is Cleric/Templar adepts are extremely rare, because if they do drop, they're usually nbg'd, or if not, sold to the merchant. The few that do make it to the broker/blackmarket are immediately snatched up. To make broker searches more effective, try setting the parameters to spell scrolls, with the minimum con grey, and max. con orange. </DIV> <DIV> Realistically, you're going to have to settle on app3s for the most part, and with higher level spells, depending on your server, app2s. The only thing we Templars can do is check the brokers everyday, and pray for some luck with drops.</DIV>

<DIV>Ok, that seems a little gimped. Hate to complain but all us Templars are good for is healing. We have no effective way to upgrade our healing spells? A lot of the 20+ mobs hit for 200+ and my spell currently heals about the same. I am having trouble keeping up with them at this point without power dumping the tank. Is it really supposed to be this way by design? Like I said I don't want to be a <wahhhh waaaahhhh/> crybaby but this seems counter intuitive.</DIV>

<DIV> I agree, but at least we have the option of app2s at a minimum, and most likely app3s; or for enough gold, adept3s. App3s aren't too bad compared to Adept1s; at the very least they should keep you up to snuff healing/power wise. The problem gets compounded the higher in level you go, because, at least on my server, there are zero (read no) sages high enough to make app3/adept scrolls, so I'm left healing with lower level spells or app2 versions. To get around power problems, I suggest drink, an enchanter, or the Arcane Chalice HO. </DIV> <DIV> The HO has saved my life, and those of my group mates many a time. It's fairly simple- a mage starts the HO, you use a hammer (nuke) to advance it to Arcane Chalice, then it requires a mage's flame, and a chalice (heal) spell, and voila, 10% power. Do this twice a fight after practice, and you can xp indefinately.</DIV> <DIV> But as for the adept books- give the game time. More and more books will drop, and more and more sages will be there to make them, reducing the cost and increasing availability. Until then, we get to suffer. grrrR</DIV>

<DIV>Auria,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Like I said, trying to refrain from whining too much. Thanks for the information I do appreciate it. While I have your attention do you have problems with starter chains that you start always (95%) being broken by yourself immediately after you set them? I have observed this behaviour while grouped and have yet to figure out what I did differently when I do get one to stick, it just does for some reason. It almost seems like a bug but I am not sure if I am missing something again. Others seem to have no difficulty starting HO's and I often advance them but rarely get one of my own to start.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV> <DIV>C</DIV>

<DIV> Sadly yes, I am still using a few app2/3s, although I'm happy to report that Cazic-Thule and Permafrost have dropped a few very needed adepts for me, and our level 50 one drops in Rivervale (get it now before they fix that loot table :smileywink<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.</DIV> <DIV> As for HOs being broken, I've heard rumors that reactive heals break them. I personally never have experienced this. The best test would be to try it solo against a grey mob. Try first without any reactives cast, then one with them on. If it is the reactive, or if it's completely random, /bug it and tell us so we can all bug it too. In my group we favor HOs started by scouts and mages, so mine aren't used.</DIV>

Clerics can only start group HO's if the group is priest/scout (I think, it might be priest/mage but pretty sure it's priest/scout).There is a bug that if ANYONE in the group breaks a chain while having the chain starter targeted it says the chain starter broke the chain. There is also a bug where if you start a chain and have anyone but the mob targeted it will say you broke the chain no matter who actually breaks it.At least i've noticed that it SEEMS to be that way. Of course, that bug is going to be...low on the bug list-o-things-to-fix.
