<DIV>Hello fellow Templars,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>        A lot of you probably know this, but I figured I would inform you of something that semi-suprised me.</DIV> <DIV> As I'm sure is common practice, when I receive a spell upgrade - say Amelioration from Combat Healing, I leave the lesser spell on my bar, as it is usually Adept1+ and still useful to keep chain heals going. This typically leaves me with the reactives + 4 target heals + 2 group heals at my disposal.</DIV> <DIV>        At 40ish, you start receiving the final rotation of spell upgrades. At level 43, you receive Greater Amelioration, which I'll use as an example, but all spells so far have worked like this. Upon receiving the spell, I removed Combat Healing from my bar; moved Amelioration to its place, and placed Greater Amelioration in the open slot. When either Greater Amelioration, or Amelioration is cast, they both grey out and recover, unlike earlier versions which allowed for chain casting.</DIV> <DIV>       As Adept1 and 3s of 40+ spells are not common, (or possible in Guk server's case for Adept3s) you'll be using spells such as Combat Healing and Arch Healing at level 40+. I recommend grabbing the highest available adept/master for those spells, whereas I always thought, "I wont use those when I get my last upgrades." This inability to dual-cast applies to all 30-50 spells I have seen, reactives, group heals, etc, etc.</DIV> <DIV>       Just a heads up. For those of you who knew; no insult to intelligence implied.</DIV> <DIV>      </DIV>

i don't get it. you mean we'll be using combat healing all the way past lvl 40? is this a bug?

<DIV>Sorry for any confusion,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>         I, as well as most healers I know, keep 4 target heals on their spell bar (Such as Minor Healing/Combat Healing and Minor Arch Healing/Arch Healing.) so they can keep a constant flow of heals going, with no downtime.</DIV> <DIV>         At the last level of spell progression, i.e. when you, using the same idea as above, would use (Amelioration/Greater Amelioration) and (Restoration/Greater Restoration) to maintain the same constant flow of heals, it's impossible, because casting Amelioration also causes Greater Amelioration to recover as if it had been cast. At level 43, I am still using Combat Healing, whereas I thought I'd be using Amelioration/Greater Amelioration. </DIV> <DIV>         I don't know if this is a bug or not, if so, that's a huge relief, because a sub-300 heal doesn't help when your tank has over 5k hp, and the baddies are hitting for much much more then that.</DIV>

<DIV>So you use Greater Amelioration and combat healing?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sounds like a big bug to me. I would /bug it. Maybe it is fixed in the next patch though, let us know.</DIV>

Yeah it sounds like some "fixes" they have done to others, putting their skills lines on the same reset counter have bled into us. I have no idea if the other fixes were warranted, but this sounds similar. Amelioration and Greater Amelioration should not be on the same reset timer.

<DIV>Well on beta all spells were on the same timer. Then it was changed. It seems they forgot to change it for some spells. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I really hope it will get fixed in this patch or I'm just going to have to make another 6 page long thread about how it is broken /sob.</DIV>

<DIV>        Kik was absolutely correct, chain casting, backup heal (still okay to throw on casters, mages using cannibal powers etc), I also use it to move HOs and complete Arcane Chaline (the power recovery one), as it costs little power. If I had the master1 for it, I don't doubt it'd heal more then Greater Amelioration at app2.. /sigh sages. Wish I'd picked it up when it was for sale.</DIV>

<DIV>          With the help of my Defiler friend, who was also having this timer issue problem, we decided this is why some spells are on the same timer, and others aren't.</DIV> <DIV>          All spells from the same class are on the same timer, i.e. Minor Healing is Inspirations, Combat Healing - Theurgy, but Amelioration and Greater Amelioration are both Regimens. So, the reason why a level 40+ can't cast Amelioration/Greater Amelioration back-to-back, is because one is the upgrade of another, whereas Combat Healing is a Cleric Spell, and while Amelioration is technically the same thing, it isn't an "upgrade" per se.</DIV> <DIV>          Checked this with all Templar/Cleric/Priest spells, as well as Shaman whatever to Defiler. If I was confusing again - which is totally possible, let me know.~</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks for info. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hehe, I must be a noob cause at 33, minor healing is still on my bar and has kept MT alive for those last few seconds when im OOM and hes 2 ticks of red left and mob is just about dead, on more than 1 occasion.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I use them all.</DIV>
