<DIV>OK, it's not an attunable official helmet, but buy a book of the Gnome language then go talk to the tinkerer in the baubbleshire bank.</DIV> <DIV>He sends you on three quests (third one was to kill 10 tidal octopi in TS).</DIV> <DIV>In return you get a wonderful helmet with great stats, which I unfortunatly don't have at my fingertips at the moment.</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks for reminding us, I've heard of it but I keep forgetting to go check it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That being said, helms upgrades are probably the easiest piece to find.</DIV>

Yes that helm quest is pretty nice, the biggest problem about it is few people knowing it so it s hard to find a pickup group to do it (plus you have to come back to queynos at each step if i remember well which is annoying). It is not too bad to leave 1 slot that people will always buy to their armorer <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />.

<DIV>The helmet you get for this quest is nice (choice of 4 different types i believe), but it in no way matches the quested armor. Oh well, has stats and was free. Also you get to play with various aquatic enemies.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>I still use this helmet.  I don't know if I'm lazy or if I'm just cheap, but all the mobs I killed to get it were grey except a few of the tide octopii were green so I needed a partner for them.  It's a joke compared to a lot of the stuff dropping in teir 4 zones but I like it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-- Nyatar</DIV>

"Hearth Forged Boots" - Stamina +3, Agility+5, Health +11, Power +16, Mental +6, AC: 4-99</P> <P>Exactly the same AC, and far better stats on the helm.  Not to mention the quest gives you about 10% xp.  Personally I did this quest in a group of guild people, but I think if you get any pickup team that's not sure of what they want to do yet, and you explain that they get 10% xp and an awesome helm, unless they've already done it, I think they'd be pretty happy to pickup the quest to get all that xp in the reward, plus an uber helm and designated things along the way to kill for xp anyway.</P>

<DIV>Hehe, actually I was being quite literal in "it doesnt quite match", I actually meant it looks nothing like the quested armor. Quested armor has that plain plate armor to it whereas the spindlecog tinkerhelm (heavy armor) is more vanguard looking<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> should have been more specific.</DIV>

<DIV>Anyone know offhand who sells the gnome primer?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've looked at all the scribes I know of, just can't seem to find it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV>

<DIV>Sorry, I dont know the exact location. However the person definately is in the baubbleshire. I want to say its probably the scribe that sells it.</DIV>

The scribe in the weapons and armour shop has the primer. I only know this because I started this quest after seeing this thread...

A big thank you for this. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> At 21 this quest was not only a great reward (almost 7sp as well as the helmet and the XP), but I had a lot of fun duoing this. And discovering that antelope groups scatter when you attack them....was rather hilarious. ^_^
