<DIV>Just dinged 28 and based on all the spell lists out there, was expecting to gain Healing Touch.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I gained Arcane Aid instead, which is basically just a "Cure Arcane".</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any idea what's up with that?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Nocaster on <span class=date_text>12-04-2004</span> <span class=time_text>01:32 PM</span>

Maybe the list is wrong, you get arcane aid at 28, then intercession at 28.80 , intercesion is the upgrade to soothing sermon and is pretty nice, only problem is sermon becomes redundant since they dont stack, and you will very rarely ever be chaincasting intercession+sermon, unlike the way you will chain bestowal and prayer.Regarding arcane aid, havent really found it as necessary as elemental aid, since most of the nasty roots and stuffs mobs are casting seem to be elemental based. In fact, since your "good" buffs like the reprise from intercession, actually show up on party members display as arcane debuffs, having this spell at all maybe isnt such a good thing as you tend to end up removing your members good reprises with it :p

Here's a neat trick you can do with your new spell:Cast BOV on a target, then cast Supplicant's Prayer - next cast Arcane Aid. You get a message saying that "Supplicant's Prayer has been removed from %t"...

Thats actually the supplicants reprise being removed rather then the heal itself, its a 10 second ac boost that supplicants can trigger each time the player gets hit.

<DIV>I just think its funny that mages get this spell (or equivalent) like 20 levels before us and yet I've never seen one of them ever cast it in a group setting...  ;D</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-- Nyatar</DIV>

Lifewaster,Thanks for clearing that up. I was a bit taken aback when I saw my own cure say it had "removed the heal from the main tank"Regards,MalumTemplar, Nektulos Server

<DIV>I did some testing.  The problem with Supplicant's Prayer and Intercession is that both the added AC buffs that go with these spells shows up as arcane.  It actually looks like your tank is getting a bad effect when these AC buffs are activated.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Currently at level 32.2 the AC boost from Supplican't Prayer is +101.  Intercession is +98.  This is a nice boost and helps the tank take less damage.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This has got to be a bug.  You should not see these buffs show up as negitive effects on your group health bars and you should not erase them when casting a cure.  I think they are flagged wrong.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I always like to keep my tank cured, but I can no longer cure any arcane effects when I can't tell if it's a good or bad arcane effect and it always it removes the extra AC if it's up.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Ember on <span class=date_text>01-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:23 AM</span>
