If you had the chance of gathering a Tier 2 rare component that would allow you to do an adept 3 spell (or had the money to buy one), which spell would you upgrade to adept3.As a lvl 27 templar I recently choosed bestowal of vitae (the sngle spell i cas the most), as it stacks with our lvl 26 reactive heal. In adept 3 it is actually much more effective than the 26 heal in app2 so i still use it all the time. I was pretty happy to get it for 3 gold on MM (a still rather high price tag for people under lvl 20).Same thing, one day (soon I hope) I ll be able to get a jasper or a palladium, and I m still wondering if I should pickup the reactive heal or not (Direct heals, AC buffs, AC debuffs, AoE str debuffs seem also valid options to me, maybe nukes or dots for templars that solo more).
<DIV>i would have taken Symbol of transal or Daring as adept 3 since the whole grp around you gets stronger with this.</DIV> <DIV>if i get hands on rares i will always update the grp buffs first.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>regards </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Ria on <span class=date_text>11-29-2004</span> <span class=time_text>03:19 AM</span>

<DIV>Hmm tough decision. I would go with the three stand-bys. The single target vitae line, AC Debuff or AE Weakness spells. Yeah it would be nice to have a high level instant heal spell but vitae is what get used most. After those three, I would go for group buffs BEFORE I would go for instant heals. After that I would go for group vitae/instant heals then I would go for adept Mark. Then I would work on Adept damage spells.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Vitaes and debuffs are our life blood. All else is secondary.</DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#ccccff>I have Adept 3 Bestowal of Vitae and Symbol of Transal, and to those priest still wondering - get vitae. My tank gets 128hp/tick with this spell, it's great!<BR><BR>The symbol added an additional 20hp... yes that's right... from Adept 1 -> Adept 3 = 20 extra HP. Seems kind of useless to me.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><BR><FONT color=#ccccff>Alexius</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#ccccff>28 Templar, Antonia Bayle</FONT></DIV>
<DIV>I also chose Bestowal of Vitae for my first Adept 3.</DIV>

<DIV>Sorry for the noobness of this question, but where are you getting these adept 3's? I thought that they were player made. And what does having collected a rare resorce have to do with attaining these spells. Thanks for any help you could give on this matter.</DIV> <DIV>Thorgruum Level 21 Templar of Mistmoore</DIV>

<DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#cc00ff>Wow adept 3 spells. I haven't even been able to find adept 1 spells for most of my spells. The only adept 1 spells I have I have gotten from drops off creatures. I have adept 1 combat healing, adept 1 daring, and adept 1 combative faith. If someone on our server is able to make the adept 3 spells they arent selling them :smileymad: </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#cc00ff>Does anyone happen to know where our adept spells happen to drop? I have seen lots of adepts drop but they are all for other classes not templar. I am just know exploring the Enchanted Lands perhaps I will find some there but thus far nothing.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#cc00ff></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#cc00ff>Petra</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#cc00ff>Level 29 Templar</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana color=#cc00ff>Oasis</FONT></DIV>

Bunch of little things...As for upgrading our spells, I think it's more important than upgrading our armor. IMO, boasting about having your fancy new Adept 1 or Adept 3 spells is like saying, "Hey! Look I did my job". Understandably and unfortunately, we templars can't always seem to *find* the ingredients for the adept 3 or *find* the books for adept 1.For those looking for Adept1 spells, on the Qeynos side, Combat Healing is the common drop, and Combativive Faith is the rare. I haven't seen anything else and I look everyday. For both sides, find your black market and start looking in there for adept 1. I picked up ArchHealing Adept1 for 27s and that was with the 40% broker markup! In Qeynos, to find the black market broker, from the mariner's bell, enter city on left door, immediately jumpin in the river, swim back toward harbor, a ways up on the left is a hole. Go in there. For those looking for Adept3 spells, go to eq2-artisan.com, click on recipes, search for the spell you want to upgrade to, click on the spell, when the recipe pops up, if it asks for suzuri ink, you need the tier 2 rare components. If it says cochineal ink, you need tier 1 rares. Tier 1 rares are rough Lapis Lazuli and copper cluster. Tier 2 rares are silver and coral. Please be forewarned, depending on server and side, these rares go from 60sp up to 7gp.I have adept 3 in Combat Healing and Soothing Sermon. Why those two? I only had silver clusters so I was stuck with the suzuri ink set and I was in too much of a hurry to do my research. At 24 my Combat healing does ~265, and my soothing sermon does ~110 per reactive. In retrospect, I still dont' know if going with Soothing Sermon was a bad idea or a good one, but if I was looking ahead (and had patience) I would have gone with Bestowal of Vitae. As for the Combat Healing, I love the 2.0s cast and buff.My next upgrade to will be Bestowal of Vitae and one of the attack spells, probably combative faith (lvl 24) as we get Celestial Strike at 25 and I like the bonus they give for going after undead. Some day soon I will look up all the spells, their upgrades and their requirements to make so I don't get somthing that has an upgrade, but if someone wants to beat me to it... /hint /hintI think it would additionally be beneficial to all if we could start posting what adept 3 spells we got and how much they heal. Additionally, what is the comparison between the upgraded spells and the older adept 3 spells.BakerJoe24 Templar Nektulos

At lvl 26 BoV in app3 was doing 98 per reaction, in adept3 it is doing 128, Supplicant prayer ("upgrade" to BoV) does 73 in app 1 (for the same mana cost as BoV in adept3) and 78 in app2.

<DIV>Bestowal of Vitae is one of the Adept 3 spells I have. At level 26, it heals for 134 max - which is considerably higher than the level 26 reactive heal... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It's a very good investment to make, regardless as to how you feel over the Supp Prayer vs. Adept 3 BoV... I rather have a nice reactive heal than to wait around for SOE Devs to do their job, heh.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mining is pretty relaxing after grinding all day too.... =) Takes a while to get a rare however..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Malum</DIV> <DIV>Templar, Nektulos Server</DIV>

<DIV>Definitely BoV, as it doesn't seem you will get any good upgrade to it before level 40ish.</DIV>

Since you already have BOV adept3, making SP adept3 wont really pay off untill lvl 30 or more, I'd recommend getting intercession to adept3 as your first tier3.

<DIV>I thought the original poster meant tier 2, not 3.</DIV>

Oops sorry, for tier2 its bestowal by far as best choice. I'm not even sure the buffs are worth it at all, daring, symbol, redoubt, combined give about 40ac and 40 hp more then adept1 versions of the three.Probably more useful after bestowal would be to get combat healing, since it seems to be our instant heal of choice when we do need to fast heal somebody. And regarding tier3......just found out lvl 28 and 29 advanced sage books are bugged , which means no adept3 intercession anyway <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Thanks for the info lifewaster, i would have been going for an intercession ad3 (i m very happy with the ad1 atm), but if i find a rare t3 component i ll definitely go to SP which will bring me up to my 40s.Most of our spells are available in adept1 (or at least i was able to find them) besides our main single target reactive heal line (BoV and SP) which makes them even more interresting to have in ad3.

<DIV>Please if you get the adept 3 of SP, could you post your level, power cost, and how much it heals for? I don't want to spend 20g on it if it ends up healing for 20% more than BoV for 80% more power.</DIV>

I got the palladium yesterday, and i'll get SP done as soon as I find my sage online, which should happen tonight.I' ll Let you know for how much it heals:For now at 31, the reactive heals I use the most are:SP in App3 = 115 heal for 78? power (x4 hits?) ==> I stack it only when a tank is going to pull a swarm of mobs, otherwise unusedBoV in AD3 = 134 heal for 62 power (x4 hits) ==> I use all the timeIntercession in AD1 = 248 heal for 180? power (x? hits) ==> I use on hard hitting mobs and before a pull (good protection against barrage)
<DIV>Hey gang!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I was lucky enough to find 3 tier 2 rares, and also have the recipies to make the adept3's and I chose Vitae first, for obvious reasons. I then upgraded Daring, which I feel is a much more valuable group buff that Symbol, as it adds 250ac as well as STA and health. I then upgraded my combat heal, which was already adept1, but was far worth it because of the casting and recast time on it, after all my debuffs and a new Vitae on my tank, I can easily keep up with the heals using only combat!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just starting on the boards now, sorry to see so many people down on Templars, I am having a blast with mine! Level 27 now and I have a group of friends that I hunt with and I am always the only healer and haven't ever had a problem! My only advice would be to find a tank, preferably a guardian that you enjoy being with and that uses Soldier's Stance and Hunker Down...which makes life so easy!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Enjoy!</DIV>
