what race is your templar? I'm mostly curious about numbers as I already know that after the first few levels or so, the race stats don't make much difference and it's largely a matter of which race you have an affinity withOn the other hand I've seen a number of posts which mention that shorter classes can have problems, so in particular dwarven or gnome templars, and I'm also wondering if there are any race stereotypes about, for example which mean groups prefer to go for high elves.

<DIV>I've seen a good mix of races for templars on my server (Everfrost). My templar-to-be is a human, but like I said, I've been grouped with every kind of the good races' healers. I think I've probably seen more high-elf and dwarven templars on my server, but if there are more dwarves and high-elves as templars, it isn't by a lot.</DIV>

<DIV>I'm a boring human templar, but grouped with a dark elf templar today, first one I've seen. Looking forward to seeing more evil-turned-good races.</DIV>

I've been an Iksar Templar for a couple weeks now and I can tell you there's nothing special about it. In fact, the racial traits work against you!

<DIV>Actually in the end, when all reaches lvl 50 no one will be better or worse as iksar or human, they balanced all the classes, so actually you could choose to play a gnome tank or a barbarian mage..</DIV> <DIV>btw I am a high elf templar, becouse I thought some would be better, but nope, just 3-4 more wisdom or something.</DIV>

Iksar templar here. Can't really compare it to any other kind of templar, as I've not played any other race. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> But I seem to do just fine.

My templar is a Barbarian. I feel special when I do a "/who all barbarian templar" and it only lists 5 people <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> And on serveral occasions, being a Barbarian, my groupies mistake me for a tank. I love it when someone says "Hey, we need a healer" and I say "What do you think I am?" Fun times.

<DIV>I'm a High Elf Templar (Lvl 21), it just seemed natural to take a High Elf as a Templar.  However, I saw the coolest thing the other day; a Troll Templar.  In all my wanderings I thought I would never see that, but I have and was impressed.  Just really cool, kinda against nature and what you normally would expect from a... GASP...TROLL. </DIV>

<DIV>I too play a Barbarian Templar.  Early on there is a noticable disadvantage to being a barbarian as they start with 18 wisdom and High Elves start with 30.  I have a guildmate who is a high elf Templar.  We stayed on par as we leveled and always had simlar equipment but since he was starting at a higher base wisdom he always had more power then me and I was running out of power a lot in group battles.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However, I managed to save up a few gold pieces and really upgrade my equipment from the blackmarket.  Now, I have very good wisdom for my level (as much or more than most Elves I meet), plus I have high strength and stamina.  Combine that with a very nice 2-H weapon and I am very happy with my ability to solo or act as an emergency tank.  I think my Barbarian Templar is now very effective both in melee and spell power.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Gnome Templar here.  I also have a Iksar Fury and to be honest I prefer my Fury.  They are both the same lvl and my Fury can dish out more damage whilst keeping a group alive.  Although this is probably because I have been able to get quite a few of my Fury's spells to Adept 1 but only Combat healing at Adept 1 for my Templar.  Anyone else having problems getting the Adepts for Templar?  I'm on the Runnyeye server and there is either noting there or its really expensive.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Uzzy - lvl 20 Fury</DIV> <DIV>Uzziss - lvl 20 Templar</DIV> <DIV>Winnie - lvl 20 Paladin</DIV>
