<DIV>level 18 or so we got a special trait. What ones did you pick, and how do they work for you?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I picked the power surge. It works great in a bad situation where mana is low. I can cast it, sit down and watch my mana go up faster, just like Breeze. It seems to give me some faster recovery even when I'm in combat, and lasts for about 2 and half minutes. Only down side is 1700 second wait to be able to recast it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What's working for you?</DIV>

<DIV>Took powersurge as well, though I have yet to use it, could come in handy eventually.</DIV>
<DIV>Took the extra power since I always go OOP >_<. I didn't even realize there was an option for a mini breeze thing. Good thing they are reseting all the traits soon, we will be able to pick ours again :smileyvery-happy:</DIV>

<DIV>I found harmonious mind pretty useless in beta, with or without I couldn't see a difference at all. So I picked power this time (don't have the other one anyway with wood elves).</DIV>

<DIV>Thanks for posting this link, rtoub.</DIV>
<DIV>rtoub, I hadn't even seen this. I am so happy - I hate Harmonious Mind with a passion.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-- Nyatar Nagaren, Nektulos</DIV>
I took the "babbling" one. Can't remember the name. It's basicly a de-agro spell with a 30minute timer on it. I figured with the power surge only being usable in combat, it would prove less useful than having another way of being able to get that agro off of me.With the reset, maybe I'll reconsider.

<DIV>I'm finding Harmonious Mind rather useless as well... can someone give me a little more detail on power surge? I am a High Elf Templar - will I be able to choose this tradition as well? I know I could use the extra boost of power in battle sometimes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Alexius</DIV> <DIV>24 Templar, Antonia Bayle</DIV>

<DIV>I think it is available to all cleric class folks. I like it and use it several times a day. It has saved my groups before, if only to get a few extra heals in that can buy some time to finish off the kill.</DIV>
<DIV>So its a combat only breeze spell? Whats the recast on it?</DIV>

<DIV>Lasts 3 minutes, every 20 or 30 minutes (maybe it changed, I don't know). It depends on race, not class.</DIV>
Guess I'm in the minority here as a dark elf <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />I took Boon of Innoruuk, or somesuch. Boosted my total power by a few %.
<DIV>I'm also a dark elf. I took shroud of shadows (lets me hide). It has come in handy a number of times when there have been wipe outs or near wipe outs. It tends to let me get back to full power in agro areas before rezzing folks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Minuit</DIV> <DIV>Dark Elf Templar</DIV> <DIV>Antonia Bayle</DIV>

<DIV>I chose harmonius mind as well and It really isn't all that useful. I think I'm going to go the route of a constant power/wisdom upgrade. That seems it will be more useful.</DIV>
<DIV>I chose "Half Breed" which is a Half Elf option. It gives you extra STA and adds to your power pool.</DIV>

<DIV>I chose the extra power one - I can't get enough power.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Soon to be Human Templar.</DIV>
<DIV>I choose an extra defense upgrade. </DIV> <DIV>It raise defense skill by 5 i believe...</DIV> <DIV>I am a barbarian.</DIV>

<DIV>Here's a good link for traits, traditions and tactics.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><A href="http://www.circonian.com/traits.html" target=_blank>http://www.circonian.com/traits.html</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I chose Fortitude of Kaladim at 18. I'm a dwarf. Defense is always good for a healer. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Does anyone know if Strength of the Koada'Dal is passive, or is it an active ability? (It is the +3% Power pool ability) Also, there was an ability that increases avoidance (can't remember the name), is that one passive or active? I chose Gift of Tunare (+wis) because I was pretty sure it was a passive ability (I want something that is going to help me all the time, not only once every 30 mins or an hour), but i might change it with the reset if either of these abilities are passive.</DIV>

<DIV>I just wish they would give us more details about each choice. All you get is a vague description. I chose the one that says it is a spell that increases the defence of a group member. I thought it would just add a new single target buff to my list. It adds the buff but doesnt tell you that the recast time is like 2000 seconds or something really high.</DIV>
<DIV>I took leadership..WHAT A WASTE. I get to boost someones AC by 3 for 5 mins and its got over a 15 min recast timer. I seriously got [Removed for Content] on that one.</DIV>

I am play a wood elf cleric right now, and just hit 18 a few days ago. I remember taking a special trait, but at this point dont honestly remember what it does. I do know that I didnt get any new spells, I beleive it jsut boosted my evasion somehow. Does this sound right? What did other wood elf clerics do?.ryan.
<DIV>Today I hit 18 (Dec 12, '04) as a dwarf and chose the Endurance tradition. It gives an innate +5 stamina that's on all the time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My bud, a wood elf, chose Elven Reflexes, a wood elf tradition that gave him an innate agility bonus.</DIV>

<DIV>At 21 or 22, as a High Elf, I got a minor regen to power. Is this on all the time or something that you have to activate? I don't see anything listed in my skills/spells page.</DIV>

<DIV>I picked harmonious mind. I have used it two times and will probably never ever touch it again. I had no idea what these traits were when I picked it. The discription sounded good, plus wisdom and regen... The only problem is that it only works if you are completely still and not fighting. The cast time is similar to call I think and it lasts 2 minutes or so. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I see no use at all for this. I make food and haven't really had a problem recovering after the fight, I want something that helps me during a fight. It's it's a long cast time fine.. I would love an emergency fun skill I can do once a day or something.</DIV>

Can we use the Hide trait in combat? I mean if the party is gonna get wiped and you are close to OOP, hiding might be the best way to ensure you are there to revive.

<DIV>I must agree that the "leadership" thing is a joke.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I get 4 ac buff for a couple of minutes, with an insane recast time???</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Even if it was permanent instead of on a timer, I would still feel cheated. What difference does 4 ac make?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You're not going to see much of a difference in the damage you take, even if it was ten times the ac boost it is now, which is the LEAST it should be for me to even consider using it.</DIV>
