<P>Don't fear change....</P> <P>I was fooling around in Loping Plains last night before a guild raid in one of the new raid zones.</P> <P>As of yet I still had not earned a new AA point in the new tree and was able to solo in there quite well. Was it easy as sending in pet and dotting like crazy..... No.</P> <P>But without giving out my strategy I was still able to solo ^^^ Blues. I am confident that with work the same strategy might work on ^^^ Yellows, but I fear the mobs resisting a spell or 2 would either mean a fast death or an over reliance on FD.</P> <P>Best regards,</P> <P>KD</P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P> </P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Normally when strategies are given out that are as simplistic as can be our not so friendly trolls from the other class boards start screaming for nerfage. As a whole we have been through enough over the last year and don't want to fan the flames of discontent any further.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Best regards,</DIV> <DIV>KD</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>You may have noticed the mobs in EoF hit alot harder, but i can still do all the same stuff i did in KoS before the expansion came out. And for EoF you just gotta change your strategy around to kill the same lvl mobs as before, it takes alittle longer but its possible.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For instance I can actually root kill casters that would of tore me apart before.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I did however notice an increase in my personal tankability, so it may not be too wise to just go straight int, and focuse on some agi/sta gear as well, if your soloing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for dps, i havent raided yet since the guild is taking a week off. So ill let ya know after that how i was affected.</DIV>
Well, so far i have not purchased EoF, and im not sure i will at this point. Since i still have to deal with the combat changes, i have been testing things out for the past few days.Im considering cancelling my acount honestly. This is what, the 3rd or 4th combat system change since the games release? I used to solo a lot, more so than anything else. Now, i can tank better than my "tank pet"...which frankly is obscene. level 60^^^ mobs are eating through my tank pet in 5-6 hits.....sometimes for up to 3k/hit. My pets resists still suck comparitively. I just dont know what to think of SOE. Im going to give it a month or two and even maybe purchase the expansion, get some new gear and find the sweet spot for INT, then concentrate on other stats.I have heard other Necros talking about how they can still do what they used to though its harder now. All it took was some new AA's and other expansion goodies. Here is a question we should all ask ourselves though....why on Earth should we have to buy an expansion and get more aa abilities only to be as effective as we were before the live update? Talk about leeching money out of your captive audience. Im a bit fed up with SOE's tactics to say the least. We shall see how it goes. At 900+ days on my account, i think i have been patient enough with SOE.<div></div>

The Necro should be second to his pet in Damage, Tanking..etc. The necro is designed to ether hide behind the protection of his pet or full out DPS and hide behind the protection of a group. SOE please fix this issue...</P> <P>The sad truth is that SOE does not care what we have to say or think which is comes to one class alone. Maybe they need to hire devs to work each class only and fit the role of that class in. <BR></P>

I disagree. Ive never liked it when Necros have had to rely completely on their pets. I prefer to have it at about 50/50 or even 60/40 in favor of us doing more dmg. While we may be a summoner class, the Mage/Conj of Eq has always relied more on there pet than the Necro.
<DIV>Necros are a 50/50 split, and depending on how you build your necro you can shift that to either side. Personally I agree with the last poster in most cases. I solo mostly higher level and harder mobs, so I like the tank to live long enough that I can drop everything but the kitchen sink on the mob. This is just the way I play and I do quite well at it. vs easier mobs, I switch it up and let the pets to the brunt of the damage while I just play nurse maid and clean up the messes.</DIV>

Well I just spent the weekend playing with the new aa line for all three pets (cost a small fortune in game cash) but found that going down the pet lines that I could solo ok. I found that it would've been 65% from my spells and 35% from pet this is against normal npc upto 4 lvls higher than me at lvl 64 also tried herioc mobs found that ^ and ^^ 2 lvls lower than me I could solo but ^^^ thank christ for FD. All my pets are adpet3 will let ya all know what happens when I get my masters spells :smileyindifferent:

<P>Things are harder all around for every class. The one thing you need to do is max your aa's then post this thread if your having problems. The aa's are ment for us to take a more personalized path to playing our character, but in all everyone is nerfed need to get 50 more aa's to be back to normal.</P> <P>Imperishable-70 necro/70 carp/69 aa/20 tinker</P> <P>Heka-70 guard/70 prov/50 aa</P> <P>Nakazato-70 bruiser/50 aa</P>

It comes down to knowing how to play. you can have a completely unbalanced class and still suck at it.People complain about my dps until they want that rez and heart... then we become their best friend.</div>
