View Full Version : Which god?

Since apparently there is no god that loves necros, I just thought I'd see which god you guys are going to choose. Solusek Ro is decent for casters, but he's pretty biased towards wizards with all the heat crap. So, I'm thinking Cazic-Thule. I'm a dark elf, and that's who I worshiped in eq1 and the fears sound nice too. Choosing a god - discuss.

Message Edited by RapidFists on 12-02-2006 08:10 AM

I myself will follow Solusek Ro for the time being, there was talk and I beleive a Dev even states that the cloak would be changed to work with every spell type ( I'll look for the post) but Bertoxx (sp?) is released I will probably switch to him...depending on the miracles and gifts he offers.

well it didn't say anything about being only on fire damage before but i do take the reduction in damage as a good sign that it procs on all damage types now.if they did make it proc off any damage sol ro is a no brainer imo for DPS concerned necros.cloak - 100% damage procpet - +28 int which will be nice with increased capi personally am basing the choice more on the fact that the cloak and pet are awesome for casters than the abilities though they aren't too bad either.

Message Edited by quamdar on 11-12-2006 02:26 AM

How do you get the Sol Ro cloak? Is it a quest or something you get from the altar? Have not had a chance to play beta so any help would be great. Thanks.

When you "choose" a god, there is a 5 quest series you go through (supposedly first 4 are solo, last is group from what i've heard).

One of the rewards during that quest line is the summoned pet that gives the 28 point stat buffs (all gods have a pet reward, with 28 total points in stats, just which stat and the split of the points varies). The final reward from the quest lines are the Cloaks for each god.

Keep in mind that, unless things changed in the very end of beta, you can wear cloaks of different Gods and Goddesses, even if you don't worship them. So you can do the quests for Solusek Ro and then change gods to, for example, Cazic-Thule and still wear Solusek Ro's cloak.

As of right now, all the cloaks are just white, with nothing on them...maybe just a bug.

For sheer pleasure of the game and not making L33T raiding decisions I have chosen to follow Cazic Thule. Firstly, because I am a Necromancer. Secondly, because I am Iskar and this ties into my history and lore of my race.

Working on Cloak now and look forward to wearing it.

KD

Innoruuk all the way. If you've read up on him, you'll understand. (Especially for PVP)

Thakar wrote:As of right now, all the cloaks are just white, with nothing on them...maybe just a bug.

Negative, the cloaks just default to guild emblems showing and since people dont have a guild emblem they are pure white.Untick the show guild heraldry in your persona window and itll show.

I was reading up on Innorruk, and his spells are divine based bonuses and we as necs, use disease base. I am curious why you said that it is the right choice for us necs and especially for pvp.

Thanks and I look forward to your (or anyone's) response

Soluna

Message Edited by Solunacancuna on 11-17-2006 08:06 AM

inny gives me 3 more pets that last for 10 minutes, there like main/dumfire but they last for 10 minutes, you can use this 2 times, then we have 2 more pets we can also use with those which are dumbfires that last for 1 minute and they both stack with our regular swarm. Not only that we get 2 nukes that have massive power drains. one nuke hits for about 10,000 damage and drains 7000 power from the mob and another which does almost the same but it a little weaker. Basicaly inny turns you into a super summoner, INNY ALL THE WAY.

Ever had an epic fight where the mob actually went even close to OOP? (the break Veymn and Alzid up situation doesn't count) So that negates the power drain. And do to most every mob in KoS and possibly EoF having massive ae, say bye bye to those pets. But from a nonraider perspective, I can see Innoruk as being pretty effective. From a raider perspective, for the moment I'll stick with Sol...until they release Bertoxx.

Sol Ro rocks even if its just for the one buff you get for 10mins that procs 300-400dmg on EVERY spell. With necro casting times thats ridiculous.

But ya im going sol ro until they bring back Bertoxx!!

Anyone knows about Cazik Thule benefits ? (cape, etc) If Solusek Ro is about DPS, Cazik seems to be the only RP choice for a necro.

Still think inny is far better than so ro. like the raid theory, over time dotters and pet users do more damage than direct damage and have way more power in the end. while sol ro may have alot of damage procs there no good with no power lol.

I'll be going with Solusek Ro for the DPS boost. Inny is also a good choice if you don't raid.

I went Brell for the Regen X . Why? Cast your anti AoE pet aa and you'll find out quick :smileyvery-happy: ..then when I feel bad after, I can summon Ale ! C'mon , what could be better? (Note : as a rat thats had Brell in his bio as long as I have, all things aside I didnt have much choice :smileywink: but I do find the regen x counters my health drains fairly well)

how does 10 HP every 6 seconds help at all when you are losing 2% every second? you will be losing around 660 HP a tick if you have 5500 HP so unless it is just showing incorrectly and is really hitting every 6 seconds or something i don't see that helping much. even then 10 a tick is pretty insignificant amount of HP compared to our lifetaps imo.

I completed the CT Cloak this weekend.

For hard core raiders I see little to no benefit but if you ever spend time soloing and doing quests its a blast. However, if you play to have fun this is a great cloak.

Last night in Loping Plains I went into a bandit camp and ended up having 6+ mobs start pounding on me. During the course of the fight some would turn away and run so I had fewer pounding on me.

The Cloak says on a successful spell there is a % chance to proc fear. It also claims this proc can occur about 2.2 times per minute.

KD

I started Inny because I felt like that is who a necro should follow, but being that I raid most of my playtime with my necro, I am going to use Ro.

The last thing I need is more swarm pets to get mauled with AOE's.
