What are the recommended AA lines for someone considering their priority is soloing heroics/named, with raid DPS coming in a close second?<div></div>

Can't really say for solo as I can't be bothered soloing now, make plenty cash from selling collection quest items. As for raiding I have now settled on STR and INT. I have maxed out Crit with 4 in each of the rest for STR and for INT I have got 4 in each with 8 in the final. With whats left I have increased WIS to help out with resists on raids.

I mostly raid and am at 4/5/4/8 str and 4/4/4/8/1 int. It is a nice boost for the mage pet on dps, although does nothing for its survivability. And, it's mage-specific so it doesn't do much when you're not using the mage.I've seen a few other raiding necros on my server with the wis line. It's pretty generic/adaptable since it can buff any of your pets, although I've never tested how effective it is myself.<div></div>

I should add that I have Nightshade Master I, so I'll be using the scout quite a bit.<div></div>

I have Nightshade M1 also but still went down the STR/INT route as the mage pet is easier to keep out of AE range for raiding. The scout is still good at M1 with no AA bonus but when you need to swap to mage its better to have it working at a decent level.

str/wis here. i enjoy str, because i can lug more around and blow up my critter, plus if i have a dagger, i get a couple of extra pets, and wisdom, because the pet buffs it has is not bad.<div></div>

I recommend STR and some STA like Shockwave Adept 4 for your soloing heroics/nameds.<div></div>

I recommend Str (4,4,4,<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Int(4,4,4,<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and Wis(4,5)The heal from wis is a nice addition for soloing and grouping. I even use it in raids to keep other mages up.

Wow, so it really looks like it's a matter of personal preference for the Necro.  My main, being an assassin, has a pretty well-defined path for maximum effectiveness; STR/INT.  I guess I'll just go with whatever seems prudent. <div></div>

yeah it is really up to you since none of ours are really that super powerful so any choice is good.i personally went with STR for crits since it increases DPS no matter what pet i have up and then STA for the AE avoidance at the end which is very hlepful sometimes when there are unavoidable AEs or ones that are just really hard to avoid.  plus the tank pet still does decent DPS if you get a DPS mod for him.<div></div>

<DIV>I went STA/STR for the crits and the AE immune tank pet.  I don't like chain casting a pet in raids.</DIV>

<blockquote><hr>Jai1 wrote:I don't like chain casting a pet in raids.<hr></blockquote>Keep pet out of AE range? <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Also, if the AE is too big for scout pet to handle, tank can soak up most AEs without much loss in HP. With the exception of some distance based AEs I suppose.

I just made it a habit to call off my mage pet every 20 seconds or so... Since I stay out of AE range, once I see it standing next to me, I know it to is out of AoE range. The small loss of DPS I loose for jousting is far outweighed by the loss I'd take if it died and I had to recast it.Plus I don' get the instant agro spike from its death.
