<DIV>Hi,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm starting out a Necro on Nagafen (PVP).  I've been playing this game for quite a while now (have a lvl 70 Bruiser on Crushbone - retired until expansion).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You all know PVP servers are different.  My style of play is different as well - I live to take my time - more PVP kills the better for me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, as I approach lvl 10 (where PVP becomes active), what should I be going for spell-wise?  I can pretty much twink this toon up to lvl 40, so want to make the right decisions here.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Master spells are ungodly expensive on this server.  Why, last night - some guy auctioned "WTS (the lvl 12 pet spell Adept III) for 40g."  As much as I have money wise - I'm still frugal when it comes to buying stuff.  I do plan on making him a Sage (my main is a Tailor).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>What immediate spells should I be concentrating on?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've pretty much concentrated on +int gear - and will have tranquil gear for this guy.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, any beginner's PVP advice would be greatly appreciated.</DIV>

You'll want not only INT, but also STA (and of course HP and Power on your items). You have to spend health to heal your pet, and you'll probably be using it for things like Dark Hearts, so getting that pool high is important. Immediate spells to be concentrating on are, obviously, your pets. Your tank pet (and pet defensive stance) are really useful while soloing. I'd also get your Lifetap spells and your pet heal spell (Heal Minion, Repair Bones, Mend Bones, etc) upgraded, as they're nice for both PvP and PvE. The Splintered/Dark/Sacrificial/etc Heart spells might also be a good idea to upgrade to keep your group up on power, but that's a matter of preference. You've probably noticed I focused a lot on the HP/Power manipulation spells - for obvious reasons. You'll want to keep you and your pet alive as long as possible, and increasing group power regen can be a really nice thing with the hearts. A lot of Necromancer spells are DoTs, so you're definitely going to want to live long enough for them to deal damage. I didn't list damage spells to upgrade because that's more up to you - if you feel you're not doing enough damage, upgrade them.As for which pet to use in battle, in solo PvE I almost always use my fighter pet. In duo/group PvE, if not tanking, obviously one would use their mage/scout pet. However, seeing as you're on a PvP server, you might want your tank pet out or something on the offchance you get jumped - it really varies based on situation. Finally, 40g isn't bad for an Adept III being sold on a channel, though as always it's often cheaper to harvest/buy the rare and get it crafted by request. Nonetheless, as a Necromancer you should be able to farm in a solo/duo fairly well, and you can probably fund your own twinkage fine.<blockquote><hr>Danndak wrote:<div>So, as I approach lvl 10 (where PVP becomes active), what should I be going for spell-wise? <font color="#ff9900"> I can pretty much twink this toon up to lvl 40, so want to make the right decisions here.</font></div><hr></blockquote>Quick question... if your lv70 was on another server, where'd you get the coin to be able to afford that, by lv9? <span>:smileytongue: *cough*</span><div></div>
