<DIV> <DIV>I also posted this on the sage board, didn't know how much traffic that one gets, though.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Hi.  I recently made a Nec/Scholar, and am currently at level 10 for adventure and tradeskill levels, and I'm having a problem with scribing spells.  The problem is, I can't seem to make a app4 unless the spell is very much green to me.  Is this normal?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm not sure about how the whole reaction skills thing works, but I have all the "scribe" reaction skills on a hotbar and I hit them whenever the icon pops up in the crafting window.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is there more I should be doing?  I want to be a scholar so I can upgrade my own spells, and it seems like it would be pointless if I can't make an app4 untill 5 levels after I get the spell?  Any information or help would be appreciated.  Thank you</DIV></DIV>

<DIV>At the beginning it will be hard to make pristine because you start with +progress buffs and no +durability.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>You get new buffs every 10 levels of crafting (level 10, 20, 30 and 40 then it changes to 51 and 61 for next buffs instead of 50 and 60). As stated above you start with progress buffs and at level 10 get your first durability buffs, then it alternates back to progress at 20 and back to durability at 30 and so on. Also just because you get new buffs doesnt always mean they will be better, go with whatever does the best progress or durability depending on your needs, and only replace it if the newer buff does more.</DIV></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also there is more to it than just clicking the buttons to counter a reaction, you also need to click them to speed up your progress or durability even when there isnt a reaction needed to counter. For pristines that are close in level to your tradeskill level you will most likely want to spam at least 2 or all 3 of the durability buffs (you can alternate in some progress buffs if the durability is high on the pristine quality bar but if it drops make sure to go back to spamming durability till it catches back up). Avoid using the +progress buff that drops durability.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also one of your buffs will use power, because of this you will want a good drink to regen it, and it is best to craft naked (makes a big difference on your power regen).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm sure there is alot of other useful info out there but hopefully some of that will help you for now.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Arrowheart on <span class=date_text>09-02-2006</span> <span class=time_text>11:30 PM</span>
