Killing Heroics.

Ok, I see tons of posts here on the necro boards about us being able to solo white and below heroics, but I seem to be barely even able to solo a green one, let alone the blues and whites. I do alot of soloing so it's very important to me that I'm able to do this, because I play at off-hours and can never get a group. I have pretty much all Adept 1 spells, with Adept 3 tank pet and Master II Swarm of Rats. Using my tank pet, and Master II defensive stance I can barely even keep my pet alive against the damage of a higher than green heroic, even using the heal every time it pops up. At 35 is the Undying Adherent just not capable of this or is there something I'm missing? <div></div>

<P>First off - heroics are "not" meant to be solo'd by a single person. </P> <P>Having said that there are certain classes that can (if properly played) solo con even, yellow or even orange ^^^ heroics. This is not your everyday strategy so don't expect it to be easy.</P> <P>The level of your spells matter a LOT. I cannot stress this enough but whether you're trying to solo a heroic green or even or yellow even you have to be well geared. At later levels soloing becomes a bit easier but if you plan on soloing heroics I'd recommend you study up the mobs in different zones and see which you have a better chance with. Not all heroic mobs are soloable, therefore you have to pick your fights carefully. At later levels such as lvl 40 when you can Feign Death you can FD and recover from the fight if it goes badly.</P> <P>Necro's can solo but we're not the ultimate class when it comes to soloing. Yes, it can be done as I've soloed Nest of Great Egg and other zones but it takes lots of tactics and patience. Experience received from killing 1 heroic ^^^ and taking forever you're better off killing solo mobs and get the same amount of xp in less time. I'm not discouraging you from soloing but the experience won't be the same.</P> <P>Get all your damage spells to Adept 3 or Master. Get your pet as high as possible, adept 3 or Master. Have your resistance up depending on what type of mob you solo. Practice, practice and more practice and eventually you'll notice a trend and a strategy that you're comfortable with.</P> <P>Good luck.</P>

<P>^^^</P> <P> </P> <P>Very good post do that and you will be able to solo them in no time.. But like he said its not really worth it unless its for loot and it's a named and most the time they have adds and I know it is close to impossible to take a 3 up white or yellow if he has adds</P>

Also, the OP is of a level where all the necro tools aren't yet available. Lich and Charm Undead, REALLY help alot when soloing hard mobs.But even at that level, my advice would be to grab your defensive M2 options when you can. The extra HPs the pet gets can be a huge factor.

<P>basically soloing heroic is all about DPS / Aggro Control / Heal...</P> <P>u need sh!tload of dps to push it down before your pet goes down , but u cannot overtaunt the pet... so u need to split the aggro (like dumpfires, charmed pet, or spells to push up the dps from main pet -- AA skill / Consumption) , then u need to keep the pet healed , although it never can cover the dmg from mob ... but u can still make it able to take 1 more hit or 2. Fear / Stun is your friend also, they helps making the mob hit less within the stun period.</P> <P>my 2cp =)</P>

I have my defensive M2, I find it invaluable for soloing grouped mobs, because that reactive heal/dmgshield against two and three down arrow mobs really helps keep the pet alive. I think I'll wait til 38 before trying this again because I get a new pet, plus a new swarm pet, M2 rats has been used for a long time, I imagine Ad3 plague of rats will do a bit more damage. I wouldn't be soloing the heroics for xp, it's just that it's my only way to complete the quests I want to seeing as I can never find a group at what is about 3AM US time, being my prime time. Soloing solo mobs forever also sucks, a little danger is fun. <div></div>
