<DIV>broke down and made my necro last night. was all excited sitting at char selection screen waiting for it to load on refuge isle .... so after about 5 minutes of fussin with UI i get everything set and summon my pet /flex necro sexyness .... when my pet summoned I see a bat ....or minion or whatever its suppose to be .... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>i was like ... ugh .. a bat .... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I thought necro pets atleast looked kewl skeli type stuff or apperations of that. Is the bat my new friend until I get higher lvls?</DIV>

You start off with a bat then you get a spider, then mid 20's you get a tank pet that resembles a skeleton. The link above has pictures of most of the pets from Apprentice I through to Adept and Master.

Yeah, at 20 you also get a mage pet that looks like a dessicated corpse. I admit, I was a bit surprised to see that my necromancer, a master of the undead, had a BAT for a pet. Then the next one along my path of total mastery of undeath, was a . . . . spider?! At that point I was thinking, ok, what next, a really scary looking zebra?

dont forget the lvl 66 drednought.. its a freeking gargoyle, nothing undead about it exept the undead in its name. its a stone creature = elemental.

I wish the Spectre model was our tank pet. That is just me reminisisng about EQ1 though. The gargoyle is just out of place. What I think would be cool...is if they took the model for the Valkryies in EF and skelly'd it. I've always thought they had cool attack animations.
