<DIV>Ok so im still new at this game i just picked it up on saturday, and Im having a BLAST!!!. Im really enjoying this soo much better then WoW! The graphics are Awesome and the spell effects are bad @$$.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My question is I'm level 15 now (just got it last night) Where is a good place to continue to level. It seems to me that its hard to find a group so most of my play is solo (which is fine with me). Im in the commonlands now and im just doing the quests!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My other question is this. I know with many other games the classes get really repetative but so far this game is really holding my interest. Will it be able to change enough and do enough different things to keep the class fun and interesting? Also how are Necros end game are they fun are they usefull? Thanks for everyones time in reading this.</DIV>

<DIV> <DIV>Hi Venom, Welcome to Everquest 2!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Everquest 2 offers far too much to list in one post so I'll try to give it my best shot.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I am a Necromancer as well and I abosolutely love my class. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At your current level soloing is still very good xp. I remember I soloed from lvl 1 to 20, did my subclass quest to be come a necro (which you don't have to do anymore, you can just choose to be a necro) and then moved onto Thundering Steppes and started soloing and grouping there. There's lots of quests you can do in Thundering Steppes and Nektulos Forest in your 20's and I recommend you visit <A href="http://eq2.ogaming.com/db" target=_blank>http://eq2.ogaming.com/db</A> for a list of quests with walkthroughs. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you prefer to group from lvl 15 and up I recommend visiting the Wailing Caves in Commonlands or Stormhold Keep in Antonica. Speaking of Antonica just because you're from Freeport does not mean that you cannot venture out to Antonica. Although I would not recommend it just yet unless you're looking to get some exploration xp which by the way is another great way to level up.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as end game content there's tons and tons of raids and quests that you can and will do in order to obtain Legendary and Fabled Items and not to mention xp. Necromancers are top damage dealers in any situation and especially in raids as we provide a steady stream of damage. Learning how to control our pets and when to use which pet will help you become a top necro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I hope your experience in EQ2 is positive and enjoyable and good luck on your journey. Feel free to ask any questions you might have and I will try to help!</DIV></DIV>

Well i appreciate it. Another thing I have noticed is how amazing the EQ2 Community is. Unlike WoW where everyone just a cares bout their own [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] the Eq2 players actually seem concerned enought to help others out! Happen to have any really good pointers for newb necros?

<P>Glad you like us!  There are soloable orcs in CL.  I know the spot, I just don't know how to explain how to get there other than it's close to Xroads and across a river and down from a small village of Kerran.  You can basically solo there then move N? to the ruins to solo there on skels.  Soloing skels at the entrance to Nek could be the next move.  </P> <P>You can also buy a ticket in EFP to Nek beach and kill crabs and spiders.  Few quests to be found there as well.  Around 23 I'd hunt bears near the gates in TS. ^s are great exp and doable by necros.</P>

Ya I think i know what your talking about for the orcs thats where ive been Pretty darn good XP When should i move on from them at about what level? Where & What is EFP heh and IDK what TS is either hehe the Abbreviations mess me up a lil bit. Its cause there is sooo many zones. unlike Wow which has what maybe 50 zones really (thats streatching it) this one has A TON!!! P.S Is it just me or is this game like CRAZY addictive? I stayed up from 9am-4am on sat and 10-2am sunday lol this is fun as crap even the crafting!!! (Which makes a huge difference LoL I didnt know how to do it i wasnt pressing any buttons what so ever. but lastnight a guild mate told me how to do it now its Sooo much fun!)

<DIV>Well I'm glad you're having a blast and in a way envious :smileytongue: This is why I keep making new toons just to emulate the fun I had when I made my very first toon. Ah.. those were the days.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Antyway, the Orcs are great xp and decent loot. Don't forget to examine any Orc Smuggler Requisition that drops as it will help you learn Orcish so you can understand them and required later in the game. Secondly, as you level up the mobs that you are fighting will change color. Learning the different "con" of mobs helps. Con determines the level of difficulty of the mob compared to you. If a mob is listed as "Heroic" it means you will need a group of people to bring it down. If it's listed as a solo encounter in the description then you can possibly tackle it. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In Commonlands there's a zone called "Fallen Gate" which is similar to the Stormhold Keep dungeon and has some fantastic loot for your level. I recommend atleast level 18 before you venture in there. Some mobs in there are soloable but mostly Heroic mobs so you will require a group to go deeper. Don't forget to use the Griffon towers and visit each station so you can get an overall view of not just how large Commonlands is but how much stuff is there also!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>EFP is East Freeport, NFP is North Freeport, WFP is West Freeport, SFP is South Freeport. Similarly, NQ is North Qeynos, SQ is South Qeynos, QH is Qeynos Harbor you get the idea. East Freeport and Qeynos Harbor are considered a major hub where you can take a boat (via mariners bell) to different zones fairly quickly. There's also "Voyage by Sea" mariner's bell at the end of the docks as well where for 60 silver you can buy a ticket to zone right into Thundering Steppes (lvl 20+ area) or Nektulos Forest (lvl 20 + area). You will want to venture to either of these locations (Thundering Steppes is my fav) for bigger and better xp and more quests and overall maximum FUN! </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Addiction, ah yes this game is very addictive. Since launch I run home after work (sometimes literally run home to get the exercise) and play EQ2 lol! EQ2 has changed a lot since launch and is better in many many ways. You've picked a good time to join and I hope you continue to have a blast.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Edit - By the way, I'm not sure which server you're on but if you happen to be in Butcherblock you may look me up in game. I play as Simren. I'll try to answer you Questions in game.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Kraven Coldblade on <span class=date_text>08-07-2006</span> <span class=time_text>03:43 PM</span>

<SPAN>Kraven Coldblade</SPAN> You are prolly one of the nicest people Ive met online in a very long time. I know that this is prolly a silly question but here it goes anyway.  When can i start expecting to fight "Big monsters" Like what i saw in the video those sand giants or what ever. I mean i dont have to fight them specifically but just graphically large baddies hehe. Thanks!<BR>

I was rushing to reply as I'm at work and didn't wanna get caught lol. </P> <P>And Venom, thanks for the compliment. I try to help anyone that just started the game or someone who's been playing it as long as I have. If everyone helps one another the gaming experience can really be fun. </P> <P>As you venture further into Norrath you'll learn more and more and also have more and more questions. Don't hesitate to ask as that's about the only way you'll get an answer lol. Also, you may wish to join a guild once you hit your 20's because thru a good guild you will find even more help and hints and much more. <BR></P>

<DIV>How am I doing in terms of Gear. my characters name is Necrodamus (real original I know) Note the UBER Melee DMG!!! of 14!!! woot lol</DIV>

Kraven Coldblade

<DIV>As I don't know what you currently have on I can't comment on the quality of the gear. This is a never ending quest for all adventurers in Norrath. Bigger and better armor means a lot. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>For us mages we can only wear cloth armor. There are some rewarding but challenging quests starting from level 20 known as Armor quests. You can go to East Freeport when level 20, find any guard and right click on them and choose "Find NPC". When the box pops up type in Kirsteh The Witch (Or just Kirsteh) and hit OK. A glowing trail will lead you to her. She is the NPC for cloth wearers free armor set. She will give you tasks to complete after which she will reward you with a piece of armor for each of your slots with the exception of a Helm/Cap. Nice and easy way to get some very good gear to last you thru your 20's. Give that a go and you should have decent armor.</DIV>

<P>Two other zones that you might want to try are "Wailing Caves" and "Valley of the Rogue Magi."</P>

Grats on choosing the best class in the game.  My main is a 70 necro and I love it.  One tip I'd like to throw out is whenever you start grouping set your pet to neutral by pressing the Pet Back off button in your pet window.  Sounds weird but doing this will save you alot of headaches, espically when you have a mezzer in the group.  Oh yeah and make sure the vital classes (tanks, healers) have hearts..you summon this item which turns the caster's hp to power.  I forget what level you get it..been so long.  Later on in the levels you'll be able to do so much that you'll hardly get bored in a group.  Have fun.<div></div>
