My main is a 43 necro, and i'm getting kind of bored of it.... The first few levels were kind of boring, like most classes, but in the teens it was a blast. In my 20s I had a great time grouping and learning more about what I could do solo. The 30s are a complete blur to me. All I did was quest, quest, quest, and leveled to 40 in about 3 days. Now, here I am in my 40s, and i'm out of quests that I can solo, so i'm grouping more again. When I group, it feels kind of boring....it just seems like i'm using the same three spells over and over again. Sometimes 4-5 on tougher mobs, but it is still kind of boring. Does anyone else feel this way? What can I do to get out of this rut?

The gameplay would be similar to solo and using your full array but you could look to some more heroic stuff. I think the early 40s can be a bit of a struggle though with other classes actually, I dead ended with a Monk at 43.

i grouped some but mainly solo'd my necro well into her 50's on progression Q's, mid 40's u can start on DoF, loads on Q series in there from the guys on the beach / faction quests / Tears Grifter Qs / Peacock series.

Ru guilded? pickup groups can b off-putting but get in a good guild / regular group of friends and work thru your Heritage Q's

My low 40's is when I switched from solo to grouping. I spent a lot of time in CT and DoF leveling up. Groups are really really dependant on the members. I had been going on lucky streaks for awhile with really good groups. I was helping heal, doing damage, sometimes using pet at MT, and sometimes in high dps groups I would just sending pet in and not even having a chance to cast, lol! Lately, I've had TERRIBLE groups though, too many cooks in the kitchen, everyone knows better, etc. I've been playing oblivion a lot lately... lol.

I would recommend the DoF quest too, some of the stuff is a pain but has pretty good exp at that level.

Utility, thats us we do so much as was said i dont see how anyone could get bored playing a necro.....our role changes so much depending on the makeup of our groups or if we are solo, duo or trio even to the point of the different line-up of spells we use depending if we are killng nameds, solo mobs, group mobs or on raids, even the fact that we have 3 completly different pets (gotta love it). We definalty arent the toughest class and are definatly dont believewe are any longer the best solo class but we have always been a fun class. So much to think about....hehehe what can i say ive always loved playing my necro, i always get so caught up in my necro toon, wether it used to be Eq1 or now in Eq2...hehe....goodluck in finding your fun...i mean theres nothing to say you wont find another class more addictive to play i also love my bruiser for something completly different from being made of paper.... /rant off

Do you play on a pvp server? If not, I can see how you'd become bored playing any class.

I'd suggest rolling a toon on a pvp server and spare yourself the groundhog day that is MMO AI.
