To the devs, pls Seriously consider removing the negative DPS modifier on the warrior pet and remove the attack speed reduction of the defensive stance. Dont give him a giant DPS increase but please allow him to hit them a little more to help hold aggro on mobs.

Also, on pvp servers the defensive stance's taunt effect only has a 5% chance of proccing annoy, please raise that to at least 20-25%, as it stands it litterally almost never goes off.

And most importantly, PLEASE add physical damage mitigation to the defensive stance, I have a kind of hard time beleiving that this stance doesnt give any physical damage mitigation when its the tanking stance....

Message Edited by DanMan3395 on 07-19-2006 03:23 AM

i second that notion

Heh, check out Conjurers if you want pet dmg mitigation. That's why they often tank with their scout pet.But I agree with you. My adept III tank pet with M2 Def buff doesn't hold aggro after that 3rd of Life Draw cast. Hell, its only adept 1! Good thing I have the racial ability Pitiful Plea. That sometimes helps my pet get aggro back...but not always.

I also have the AD3 tank pet with the M2 def buff and the M1 life tap. I do not usually run into aggro problems unless I ram up the DPS too fast (especially if I'm trying to take out a green heroic).

send pet in then wait (usually count to 2) then

dot, dot, debuff, dot, dumbfire, dumbfire, HO starter, Word of Force, Lifetap, Word of Force....

Beyond that, I refresh dots as needed, making sure to cast Draw Souls in there somewhere. If I run this sequence too early, it can cause problems. I've had situations where I've gotten multiple CRIT damage in a row, and that has cause problems too, but it doesn't happen often. *shrugs* I'm not saying it's not a problem that needs to be addressed though, I'm just surprised to see folks running into it regularly.

I really didn't notice too much of an aggro loss problem until the late 60's, course I play mine like I did at 20 pre LU13 when you had to let the tank get the mob into yellow health before slowly easing on the damage. However after about lvl 67 it got insane, the mitigation is a joke and mobs hit the tank hard (ad3+M2 def), having to toss in heals plus the occasional proc from grizzfazzles walking stick and a single DoT will pull aggro 70% of the time even if I wait till mob is in the yellow to do anything.

seems to me that ever since LU24 the tank pet has been having serious issues, sometimes it runs at 7k hps sometimes 11k, sometimes it spams taunts sometimes it never gets around to throwing a single one, still love my necro, best class ever, but lately it really has been feeling like the old days with pets. wouldn't bother me except I am unfortunatly not in a raiding guild and to get the odds and ends wrapped up on old quests I find myself soloing a lot. oh well I will live.
