Ok, do things change drastically in higher lvls?  I've seen in more than one post now that the [Removed for Content] does more damage than the scout pet.  This certainly isn't the case in lower lvls (just hit 51) and I've taken a few parsey-poos to check.  Is it part of the AA line (don't remember the one) that ups his dps or something?I apreciate that with the above mentioned AA giving him immunity to AEs that there is less healing/re-summoning needed, but does this really make up for the scouts dps?not really mentioning the mage pet here as the silly little [Removed for Content] is suicidal <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

One thing: so far as I know, the upgrade quality of pets has zero effect on their autoattack damage, so an app1 pet should be just as good as master for raiding with the AOE immunity skill.   I don't have numbers handy to compare between adept 3 and master 1 but I believe the combat art damage and taunt power will be around 15-20% better (good for soloing). Paying 120pp for that spell is ludicrous, just farm PoA and HoF a lot if you really want one.   For raiding with the aoe immunity: his autoattack dps by himself is slightly less than his nonstifled dps, maybe 30-45 dps difference (you'd think it would be more but his autoattack hits average close to the same damage as any of his combat arts).  In a raid group with no melee oriented buffs he will produce quite a bit less than the scout. The fun begins when you can start stacking +dps and proc buffs on him (haste too, but less needed since he will be at 75% by himself most of the time)... since he is pure autoattack and doesn't have any hits getting interrupted by using combat arts those buffs provide huge benefits. Once you factor in the time you would have to spend jousting or otherwise taking care of your scout pet the tank pet comes out on top for raid targets with strong aoes.  Group members  that can help the tank pet noticeably include bruiser/dirge/enchanters/assassin(apply poison)/etc. (Though your raid force may have better places to use those classes than just buffing your pet of course.)If there is no aoe to worry about the mage or scout pet will be the best choice depending on encounter type and group makeup.<div></div>

<div></div><div></div>Assuming Runnyeye has a similar ecomomy then 120pp is a dreamers price.   Should sell for a <b>lot </b>less if auctioned.   Necro 66 tank pet is common (or is on Splitpaw anyway).   It's less common to see the adept model running around after its master these days.<div></div><p><span class="time_text"></span></p><p>Message Edited by Uanelven on <span class=date_text>07-19-2006</span> <span class=time_text>01:19 AM</span>

Dont use it all the time just learn or read up on which are AE and which arent, use scout or mage on the non AE and youll get better results than the tank still but you then ahve all bases covered.

<DIV>M'eh.  I use the tank pet exclusively.  The necro I compare my junk with uses the M1 assassin pet exclusively.  For raids we swap back and forward for first and second position.  The only thing that knocks us off the top is the conj. with her M1 mage pet during grouped encounters and a ranger who's been built to put our summoners to shame.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
