Brigands can debuff the mobs defence and magic resists at that level which is why you were seeing higher numbers than you are used too. Im not sure when SKs get their mitigation debuff but if that was added it would have helped you out too. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

Or if you're solo look at hex dolls.  I often pull with them as they have nice debuffs.  Taking a little damage before your pet gets agro is fine - if the pet was taking the damage you'd just heal him with your hp anyway, this way cuts out the middle man <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span> <div></div>

<P>Ahhh...the ole parser.   I am not sure too many people will post what they parse anymore for fear of a "nerf".   But if you enjoy parsing to see what you do and what works best for you go for it!!  I think it is fun myself.    Just a couple things to remember...</P> <P> </P> <P>1.  Your numbers will vary depending on group composition.  (i.e.  brigand debuffs)</P> <P>2.  Type of encounter......single mob......big group of mobs....</P> <P>3.  Enemy toughness (solo vs heroic vs epic)</P> <P>4.  How fast your group takes mobs down.  </P> <P> </P> <P>For myself I know that I parse low in a great group because mobs go down REALLY fast (to fast for anything but a DD and Siphon to go off).  But I parse high in raid encounters due to the length of time the encounter lasts.  </P> <P>In groups I do not run a parser.  But in raids (this is post LU24 and plz keep in mind I have all fable/legendary gear ,  Master level dmg spells (including offensive pet stance), and Adept3 pets)  I tend to parse anywhere between 900 and 2k depending on the above factors.  Those numbers are both High and Low side of what I do...mostly I am sitting at about 1300 or so on any given raid.  </P> <P> </P> <P>Others probably get higher than that and others lower.  All I know is that I like playing a Necromancer regardless of the "tweeks" that SoE makes.   The class is just a ton of fun!</P>

Looks like we need another nerf pass.

Parsers useful in groups in my opinion - they give the dps fellows a kick up the backside.  If you nitice you are killing slowly, take a parse.  When the ranger sees that a mystic is beating him he'll suddenly start to concentrate <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

One parser requires .NET installed, another is obsolete. I haven't found a good one that does not require me to reconfigure the software on my pc.

<P>you can download ACT from <A href="http://home.maine.rr.com/eqaditu/ACT/" target=_blank>here</A></P> <P>It has an auto updater type thingie so it is reasonably accurate. As far as setting up goes, install it where ever, turn on logging for your toons (type /log in your chat window), tell ACT which toons log file to look at, do the performance wizard, minimize ACT and away you go :smileytongue:</P> <P><FONT color=#ffcc00>Edit: whoops, forgot to say that you will also need a recent version of .net framework installed, but its all in the above link.</FONT></P><p>Message Edited by Sulpeel on <span class=date_text>06-30-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:05 PM</span>

<DIV>It wont always be that good.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You had a group made to assist you in DPS.  If I am correct, SK's and Defilers both debuff disease and poison resist.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The brigand has some awesome debuffs...and it also comes down to mob immunity, length of fight, and a few other factors such as degree of spell quality, other players skill and their spells quality, if they even pay attention during fights etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A good way to see how effective you are the course of a night, is first tell everyone you are parsing, and post the parses in group now and again, and take a total/avg of the fights over a course of the evening, especially if you fight many various types of mobs with various resists and linked or solo encounters.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>It is a good way to see if some group members are being lazy or what you can do to improve your DPS></DIV>

<div></div>I always parse first in instance groups (Devourer, HoF, etc) just because I never slack... When fights are short, just know it is short for everyone. If a T1 burst DPS try to do impressive damage to parse high, he steals aggro asap. It may be okay sometimes, and he may have his [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] handed back quite often in instances like HoF. Doing so consume big timers too, T1 DPS will own you on few mobs, but when encounters are chained, you own them on next mobs. All sided, stealthed, backstabb attacks generate a little loss of time (on overall instance duration). It is sometimes not possible to perform those attacks because it may cause adds. Necromancers are far from being burst DPS, but you can "burn" mobs as soon they are engaged. Chain cast to death, put pet_attack button in shortcuts and press it with your very first nuke (like a big lifetap). Why should you care, if wizzy wants to beat you just try to figure what he needs to do... Having 2 aggro sources allows you to do as much without any risks. As long a necro do not slack, he parses first quite easily. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Truffor on <span class=date_text>06-30-2006</span> <span class=time_text>12:06 PM</span>

<DIV>Its a bad comparison honestly.<BR><BR>Parses, need to be compared, over tons of compiled information.  The fact is, that Wizzy could have sucked.  I know one that I beat EVERY single night on the parse, by far, and honestly, its because, its not that he's not good, but, he slacks, and he knows it.<BR><BR>So, on average, with the Assassin's parsing 1300-1600, and me usually 1200-1500, (if tide is up, 2400,2600), Lol.<BR><BR>Then its usually Brigand, Swashbuckler, Wizard, etc.<BR><BR><BR>The thing is, Its SUPPOSED to be: T1:Wizard/Warlock/Ranger/Assassin>>T2:Brigand/Swashbuckler/Conjuror/Necromancer.<BR><BR>But if one is slacking, and another isn't, well, ...  It also depends on gear, spell upgrades, AA's, and pure playing ability.<BR></DIV>
