<DIV>Ok, I'm completely new to eq2. I have gotten a couple of pet summons so far. I think they are summon minion, and summon servant. I have tried to read up on what different types each of them are...as I can't tell in game. The minon is a bat, and the servant is a spider. The sticky posts about the nec pets say </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>"<SPAN>A. Necro's get three types of pets, Warlock, Assassin and fighter: The Grim Spellbinder (lvl 20), Grim Thulian (lvl 34), Grim Terror (lvl 48.6) which are all warlocks; The Shadowy Stalker (lvl 32), Shadowy Assassin (lvl 46.<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> and Nightshade (lvl 60) which are assassins; The Tellurian Recruit (lvl 10), Undying Adherant (lvl 24), Rotting Thrall (lvl 38.6) and Diseased Servant (lvl 52), which are all fighters/tanks."<BR></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN>Well, I don't know if the pets have changed since then or if I need to get the drop spell, but I didn't get the tellurian recruit (im lvl 13)...I'm getting confused as to what I should have, and what are the types of pets that I currently have. (ie is my spider the tank, dd, or caster?) Also, does pet graphics change with the degree of spell (ie app, adept, master) and change strength depending on what level of each degree (ie app I, app II) Please clarify for a newb, thanks in advance.</DIV></SPAN>

Well, my necy is well over a year old, and from I remember, I had some silly looking patchwork zombie way back then. Never got/used the bat and spider. But I think they are tank pets until you get past 20something.<div></div>

<DIV>Until the level 20 pet, your bat/spider is just a tank. The spider is better.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Appearance does indeed change depending on the quality of your spell - Master pets often look very cool, check the sticky on this forum or over at the Summoners' Tower for full details and screenies.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes, your pets get MUCH stronger as they go from App to Adept to Master. I had an Adept 1 tank pet, who was a lot harder than the basic version. But when I bought the Adept 3 version, I was very pleased to see a big increase even within the Adept range.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Always buy the best pet you can rasonably afford.</DIV>

Ya, it takes awhile before you get all your pets (Rogue, Mage, Tank). First two pets are tanks then at 20 you get your first mage pet, then at 46 you get your first Rogue pet.

<P>It's... not a rogue... it's an assassin... and you get the first one at <STRIKE>34</STRIKE> 32 with the shadowy stalker.</P> <P>Sorry. Pet peave of mine. *slaps hands*</P><p>Message Edited by Tharangus on <span class=date_text>06-27-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:01 AM</span>
