<DIV>Ok, I had something weird happen Saturday.  We were doing the final part of Saving Soles and since none of us had been in Bastillion before we were dying a lot while we figured out how the zone worked. (We did finish, but what a goofy zone). Anyway, after the second death I ran over to the mendor and after I mended I started re-casting buffs and my pet. I cast my mage pet and as I was casting the buffs, I saw her turn and attack some of the Gnomes in the area. They were grey to me and pretty much everyone in the group. At first I thought I may have hit the pet attack macro I had set up. So, I killed off those gnomes and I turn to run to the teleporter, just before I got on the teleporter my Pet started attacking some more gnomes (I had her targeted so I saw her target the mobs and attack. I hopped on the teleporter and went down, I then hit the kill button and then summoned my fighter pet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>FYI-the pet was Grim Terror Adept III. (Of course I got my new level 62 mage pet yesterday, but it is still weird)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone else have this happen or was it a fluke?</DIV>

Welcome to Solusek's Eye. The gnomes hate PC pets, they will attack any PC pet that you have out.

<P>Yarr, the ghost gnomes are programmed to attack any NPC that comes into their rather large aggro range (this includes players' pets, the living gnomes at the camp, mobs you're trying to xp on, etc.). They keep this behavior when you charm them too, so they will randomly run off to attack things even if you have them set to passive mode. Basically, they're a pain in the [Removed for Content].</P> <P>If the area is grey to you, it's easiest to either dismiss your pet, or park it at the zone entrance and then use Call Servant when you're past the ghosts.</P>

This is a long-standing bug since they revamped SE. It will occur with any pet, Necro, Conj, or fluff, so it's not really a Necro bug exclusively, but a bug with the way the mobs work in the zone.
