<DIV>I was in labs, send in ubdead tide as per usual, mob dies, then omg they changed targets, have i missed something from lu24? is this a bugg? (plz dont be the latter) or is this SOE being uber and making something work for us <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I even done it twice and sent them in against a mob where he was on 20% health once that mob died they continued to  attack the next mob, they never done this before and have only ever attacked the mob u sent them in against.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Someone now go burst my bubble and tell me that its a dream, or it was changed ages ago, and i not been paying attention, or i entered the twighlight zone plz <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Yeah I'd really like to know if this is certain as well. I'd be nice to have it work that way. Seems only logical that it should, but then again the dumbfires don't do that... but then again the dumbfires don't last as long either and don't have a looooong recharge, so this UT change would definatly be a welcome "fix" against all the other "changes" the necro has recently endured.  <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

<P>i noticed it today but it only lasted a second, so i figured they were just being weird and turning to the mob before disappearing, not really doing anything...but if they were to stay up for the entire duration/encounter kill that would be a welcome change!</P> <P> </P> <P>ignore the sig, i betrayed</P>

Always been like this, the problem is, they'll switch to mez'd targets, before their current target is even dead.

I don't think it has. I've used UT in PoA a few times, and once the mob was dead that I cast it on, they didn't bother to even look in the direction of the other mob that was beating the heck outta my other guildies.I also recall reading several threads in this forum regarding the UT spell, and alot of necros specify that it is only good for the one encounter you cast on.I'll not be able to test this until I get home, but I sure hope it is usable the way it's stated above. That would just help so much. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

Warlocks had an intentional change made to our swarm pets (Dark Broodlings) - they are intended to switch targets after the first one dies.  I'd bet that this was a fix intended for Necromancer swarm pets as well.  Either that or it was an unintentional change that occurred when they altered the code for Dark Infestation ... not sure how much the base code of swarm pets might overlap from class to class - if at all.  Odd that it wasn't in the update notes (not that I saw anyhow) though.<div></div>

<P>I can confirm that undead tide does stays up and continue attacking untill either the entire encounter is dead, or the duration expires.</P> <P>I tested it and it's only for a linked encounter, not several single mobs.</P> <P>I'm not sure if it's always been like this or not as I've only had it for a little over a week, lol.</P> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P> <P><SPAN class=time_text></SPAN> </P><p>Message Edited by xPaladin9 on <span class=date_text>06-26-2006</span> <span class=time_text>02:06 AM</span>

<P>Do you mean two different encounters or was this the same encounter?</P> <P>They have been encounter specific for a while now and do stay up the full duration as long as the encounter is not dead.</P> <P>I have yet to see them attack two seperate encounters though.</P>

<DIV>Well in labs it was one encounter but more than one mob, but then today i was kiling the named heirodule in bonemire, mob died and undead was still up and had about 25 secs left before duration ran out, i cast invis and went to go pick up the chest, but the invis broke and 2 vornerus hivewards aggroed me and started to chew on me butt, at this point the undead tide who still had about 20 secs left remaining started to attack the new mob.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This was a totally different mob, the named was dead so it was'nt a case of social probs etc, so after seeing that i can happily say i think by jove SOE might just might have finnaly managed to start to work through there long list of bugs/probs etc and have got one fixed that benefits us <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>P.s next time i will get a screeny, i know its hard to belive, easier to belive Elvis is alive and well, working in a chip shop in peckham, than this <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

Was in Lyceum today, cast undead tide against 1 mob in a 2 mob encounter.Half the tide went to the mob I had targeted, the other half went to the mob that wasn't targeted but in the same encounter.Don't know if it has done that before but I haven't seen it if it has.  It just makes it a bit more tricky to use, I don't think of it as a good thing, thuogh it's not really a big deal either.<div></div>

<DIV>I think it happened with the new LU changes.  During a raid in Lyceum our Main Tank was having problems targeting a caster mob.  Turns out the fighter mobs can taunt and cause you to change targets.  (Imagine that right?  LOL).  Anyway, the same holds true with all the Dumbfire Pets.  In a multiple encounter everyone is taunting so the DF pets get confused (they are mindless dead zombies after all) and will attack the nearest mobs adjacent to them, or the one that taunts them.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Will this change back to the old way, I do not think so.  Just keep it mind when you are grouped.  This also, is what we deducted from our raid experiences over the weekend with UT and all the other DF pets.  Actually come to think of it, all the DF pets from all classes now fall under this same taunt rule.  </DIV>
