<DIV>I seem to remember that quite a few patches ago there was a change implemented that when you cast root on a mob it would immediately change aggro to the nearest player/pet- hopefully a pet and not your healer.  This was a great way to get out of trouble if you stole the aggro from your pet and were getting thrashed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This doesn't appear to be always be the case anymore.  I'll cast root on the mob and it doesn't change target even for a heartbeat.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm wondering if this was an intentional change or a buggy side affect of some other change.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sort of related to this is an issue related to the new durations of the swarm and dumbfire pets.  When they die their aggro is transferred to their owner.  It has become a lot more common now for the pets to die during the middle of a fight due to the shorter duration and the encounter immediately switches their aggro off the tank pet onto the caster (this is during soloing/duoing).  This really causes problems with the dumb fire pets since they're ae'ing.  Seems that now every mob in the encounter (other than the one the pet is currently tanking) comes flying over to thrash me as soon as the dumbfire pet dies.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The announced nerfs.. ermmm sorry.. 'adjustments' were bad enough without these ancillary effects.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
