Going to betray to Necromancer!

Hey all!I have a Level 18 Conjuror alt and I am getting bored with Qeynos and being on the 'good side'. I am going to start the betrayal process tonight when I get home. The only thing I am going to miss is my Level 12 Master I pet, but I am hoping an Adept III will do fine in his place. I have been soloing off and on so far and and was wondering how effective Necro's are at soloing? I am not too fond of the Conjuror pets, and after browsing the Pet Picture thread on EQSummoners I am convinced I need to betray to Necromancer <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Any tips/advice is greatly appreciated!<div></div>

Well, if/when you do betray, welcome to the Necy world !! Embrace the darkness.You asked for advice?You will enjoy it. I'd not let the "rumors" and "nerf" posts sway your decision any. Make the most of what you have, and enjoy it. It's a game, and it's fun. I initially wanted to make a Necromancer, but since all of my toons are in Qeynos it swayed me to go Conjuror. I like the idea of having a pet, and quite frankly dislike the Conjuror pets. I do have my mind made up and am looking forward to the dark side! <div></div>

<div></div>Well, I'm sure that alot of people will tell you that Conj is more powerful, and their pets are better, but I never listen or agree. It seems like a (insert personal diety here) complex to me. That, or they are compensating for something.I like being the underdog. I love it when I'm in a group and the group wipes, but I'm still standing, and they are yelling at me to FD, yet I finish off the mob, then begin the res. It's so kewl. They are just dumbfound. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />Anyway, regarding the Qeynos aspect... I've never really liked Q-town. I mean... I am evil, so Freeport just kinda seemed right. Besides, Q-town lags like a turtle on crutches. Too many people in that quaint city, and they all say it's becuase "it's better" and when you ask why they really give no valid argument/response. Most just say it's because Q-town has the better broker 'cuz everyone seems to use it... well that's a flaw with the player's mentality imho. If you flood one market and town, then thats just kinda dumb to me. Kinda takes out the whole aspect of having different cities.But that's just my opinion, as everyone has their own opinion.Still, I hate all the bright colors and most of all... the lag. I never seem to lag in F-port like I do in Q-town.I'm sure someone will post here flaming me about my putr or what not, but I hope they would take into consideration that A) I have my opinions, and B) they know nothing about my putr stats...ok that was a tanget I guess.None-the-less, welcome, and enjoy. After the last round of nerfs - conjurers seem to have fared much better than we did DPS wise. + they get CoH which pretty much guarantees you a spot in any group. At this point I am considering scrapping my necro and betraying to conjurer. At least as a conjurer I would have some real utility to go with my pathetic DPS. I have not yet scribed the t7 masters I picked up or used any of my acrylia.</P> <P>Just my 2cp.</P> <P> </P>

My necro was 18 once.  That was on the day it was 17, 18, 19, 20, 21.... lol.. Collection quest are great.   Sorry, started off topic.  Its really kind of hard to have a real feel for your class by level 18.  But IMO I think necro's have more character then conjurors (hehe).  Don't worry about your low level master's because they will be outgrown so quickly anyway.   Welcome to the darkside if you go necro.  We are still a fun class.  Whiskie, 70 necro Amaestro, 70 troub (fix our charm, 14 sec is nuts) Emiack, 70 guard <div></div>
