We once had monk-pets, many lu's before. They looked the same as the patchwork fleshripper golems in nektulos forest.

It combined good tankabilities with a nice dps.

I miss my bruiser-pet. *sniff*

Message Edited by subaridu on 06-09-2006 03:14 PM

Jalek wrote:What exactly did the monk pet achieve that was different?

A skeleton doing Kung Fu. Does it get better than that? :smileyvery-happy:Not lobbying here just craving something a bit different. A dead mob = a dead mob. Everything else is down to style.I never knew the Hero pet was a bruiser. I never took that option.

Maybe well get an undead monk pet dumbfire in the adventure pack

I think having a necro pet with its own pet/dumbfires would be pretty cool, of course it would never happen :smileyvery-happy:

Imagine of you could have a summoner pet, who could summon a summoner pet, and so on ad nauseum. That would be cool.

:smileyvery-happy:

I so wish our tank pets had the avoidance and DPS of a Brawler class.

when i first created my necro bruiser was still a pet, and it was an option at lvl 20 for M2 choice. that was an awesome pet back in the day. i think that conjuror fighter pets are monks tho? im really not sure but their fighting style seems to be similar to one.

Actually, I like the idea of having a Monk pet, and choices on the pets. Maybe they should of given us two different pets, and just a choice of which ones. Like a warlock OR assasin and bruiser OR berserker. I like the idea of having unique characters

I agree that the necro bruiser pet was good, but again it was a tad overpowered. (people asked me to use that instead of mage even in groups) becuase it could keep good agro, do nice dps and didnt die screaming like a little well, zombie.

But I don't think id like to see it back. People are already crying/whining about necro being "overpowered" while imo we arent. (yes we are T1 pre LU24, no I dont mind being T3 after) And still, I like the new pets better. (Diseased Servant / Gargoyle) So imo getting that skin back would be a degrading in our pet line.

Just not way out there on top tier. We will see after the servers come up though if SOE keeps to that statement. The whole post (and a lot of whining from Sorcerers because we'll be equal dps in most groups) can be found under the Developers Roundtable section.

Message Edited by Suraklin on 06-14-2006 09:33 AM

well I know SOE and theyre "it will not be so bad" statements, most of em are false.

But necro is so much more then just a DPS that I wont mind if they lie to me this time
