View Full Version : PvP AA
<DIV>I am still at a loss as to what path(s) to choose for pvp. As far as I can see, nothing really shines... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any advice? I pvp in small groups pretty often, and I would rather enhance my survivability than my dps. Yet, I never pvp with the tank pet up... so most of the defensive AAs are out. </DIV>

<DIV>Well, i am going to max STR line, except for the STR increase, which ill leave at 4.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Extra pet is nice, parry is very nice, and crits absolutely rock. The nova pet can be great too in certain situations, but usually for group pvp when you can take out several Q's at once.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This line wont increase your survivablitity much (tho parry helps), it will increase your offensive capabilities in a big way.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Btw, the tank pet can be great for pvp, especially against healers. They have to contantly change targets due to taunts, and can miss crucial heals.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Hi,Im lvl70 necromancer with 50 achievements and I play in nagafen server (pvp), Ive done several AA respecs so I guess I can tell a little about how AAs are in pvp.Of all the AA setups that I had, the most effective one was the one that I hated the most, it was something like AGI 4-4-8-8-0WIS 4-4-4-8-0STA 4-1-0Since lvl70 magical resists in pvp are a /lol to casters I focused everything on melee pet dmg, pet buffs +crushing/piercing/slashing +melee crit chance. With this setup I could face 1vs1 players that had super high disease mitigation by just relying on the pet, but I really hate that setup because the one doing the job is mainly the pet and not me (so I felt a little bit useless <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ). Aside of that, I had 5 points on STA line to have shockwave with my tank pet (yes, the tank pet rocks in pvp and is my favorite, thats the only root I have that doesnt get resisted) and shockwave is simply a pvp must have if you have your tank pet up.I understand that you want survivability, and I chose one AA setup that allowed me to avoid a lot of melee attacks (melee should be your only concern because at higher level everyone is a scout or monk, and spell dmg could be easily even up with lifetaps). <div></div> Right now, even though the AGI/WIS line worked well, I went back to criticals and survival.STR 4-4-8-8-0STA 4-8-1WIS 4-8Wild Channeling gives me very noticeable increased crit chance (yes I play pve too and I need dps), parry isnt just nice, parry OWNS in pvp, its an 8% avoidance that reflects directly in your persona window. Plus, casters arent supposed to parry natively, so imagine a melee guy hitting you and seeing some occasional "parry" messages <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />STA 4-8-1 to reach that 20% intercept that rocks even more, you need to be near your tank pet but believe me those intercepts work very well, you can easily get 3-5 intercepts and 2 parries in a semi-long fight, I spent 8 points in shockwave because theyre adding some increased effects in LU24 so why not have it adept 4. I chose WIS 4-8 because its like a free 1.2k heal at adept 4, with that and a good tank you could almost substitute a pve healer.I had the 20% magical intercept with the int line once but I thought it was not necessary thinking on the way resists are at lvl70.I hope this helps, took me more than 10 mins to write <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />KaixTalismanNagafen server
