Morning everyone. I just started playing a necroe arlier this month, and I already have him up to 36 - rapidly closing in on 40. I took a look aroudn this morning to see what robe upgrade I should look at, and the only one that caught my eye was a "Flowing Robe of Radiant Hues" which I can't seem to find any other information on. I thought I'd stop in here, post my gear, and see if anyone had any suggestions for items to get to maximize my effeciency at 40. Keep in midn I'm on a budget, and I don't hvae a lot of time to just sit around farming cash... so legenardy / fabled gear is mostly out of the question. I'm looking at a greatstaff of the windwalker at 40 (can get one for a semi decent price) but I don't know what I should do armor-wise.

My profile is.. well, here. http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=530897205

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appericate them.

honestly, I use robes mostly for looks, I struggle to get high INT gear for evey other slot while I use the robe as my way of showing of what little fashion sense I have. Not sure what level it is but if I were you I would grab a tae ewe prophet robe ASAP, they are relatively easy to get if you join a group hittin the nameds in CT, the high preist drops this beuty, has in-combat health and power regen, while very tiny regens the health one is noticable when soloing, especially after you get lich. Other than that I would recomend doing a forum search for robe style and seeing what they look like, or better yet find ones that interest you and look them up on Ogaming.com for details on how to get them.

I know this thread is a bit old, but I thot I'd add a little to it.

The Tae robe is quite nice for it's level. 45-ish if I remember correctly from the CT area. And if you can get the nice little Golden Efriiti Boots (sp?) then it's a very nice combo.

Question I have is: Do you prefer a 2-hander or a Want with a secondary/shield? I've noticed that with the 1-handed weps and secondary items, you can sometimes get better stats for INT or other stats that you might want to beef up a bit, but there are some 2-handed staffs out there that are just way to nice not to have.

Thoughts are welcome.

My personal preferance goes thus:

Single hander with proc > 2 hander with great proc > single hander > 2 hander with crappy proc > > > > > 2 hander.

I say this for pretty much the reasons that you state - you get, generaly, greater increases to your power pool, better int, and a better secondary stat if you choose carefully a primary and secondary rather than a dual wield. The biggest int on an item I have seen drop (there are better out there) was the +50 int staff from labs, +50 does sound a lot but it is very easy to find 2 +25 int items to goin its place - and you can bet one of them will have a nice proc to boot
