I'm a 50 lvl necro, Most of my spells are adept1 with the exception of pets those are adept 3.Yesterday I headed to PoF for xp with the Harpies. On the solo type duo harpies or triple harpies that are on the rocks I tried my usuall tactic root one and sick pet on the other, I must have casted the stun and root spell at least 3 times each while pet was being pummeled, and all I saw was "resisted" each and every time, I fd'ed and repeated after recasting pet with the same results. Figured maybe bad luck and left. While running back towards SoS, I have a quest to kill a Goblin seargent that pops randomly, he poped on top of me. Pet took agroo, I backed up and casted root spell with the same result, resisted. It all equaled to dead necro eventually but in SoS I had no problems with the mobs that were conning the same as these, orange. I did several groups of Foci and bladefuries in Eye on Anouk. I killed half, do FD recast pet and finish the job no problem maybe one resist or 2 ocasionally but got everything under control eventually not so in PoF.My question is am I at an end of taking solo mobs 5 lvls above me if there's 2 of them or named solo's. Keep in mind that my root is adept 1 so I can understand being resisted but not being resisted all the time or when landind breaking as soon as it lands with no damage to the mob as it was the with the goblin seargent, I tried killing him 3 times had no choice he jumped me.

For the record, that goblin is WAAAY under conned.  He hits like a ton of bricks, and whiped me at an even con.  I watched him pummel 2 warlocks even conned as well, so dont feel too bad about that one. As for your other question, mob's do seem to resist more at higher levels, ESPICALLY if they con orange.  Ad1's just don't seem to cut it if you are soloing orange.  I have a M1 sta/wis debuff (can't remember the name off hand), and that gets resisted 40% of the time against orange mobs.  If you are soloing something in your 50's and up, its a safer bet to try and stick to yellow mobs.  The orange one's tend to chew right through your pet, and if its a close fight, you don't want to see the words "Resisted" when trying to finish it off. Happy hunting, <div></div>
