Pet question...

<DIV>Just got level 24 and 25 last night.  I have Apprentice 4 of my level 24 tank pet and Adept 3 of my level 14 pet.  The thing I noticed is that now at level 25 my level 14 pet will only go as high as level 23.  Would my level 23 Adept 3 tank pet still be better than my Apprentice 4 tank pet that comes in at level 25?  Just curious... </DIV>

Besides the old pet's abilities all being at adept III quality vs. the new one having all app IV, our pets seem to need a few levels to kinda grow into their abilities anyway. Often, an old adept III tank pet will outperform even a new adept III tank pet for a few levels.</P> <P>At some point though, the level differences between your pet and the mobs you're fighting will start to sway things in favor of the Undying Adherent, even if still at app IV (better health total, if nothing else). My advice is to play around with both, see which one seems to be doing the better job (it'll probably be the Servant at first), and use the better one while you're harvesting the rare for the adept III UA.</P> <P> </P>

<DIV>Yeah the adept III would likely be a tad better for 1 or 2 levels. The biggest issue will be level spread. That 23 pet will see L24 mobs as yellow, while you will see them as blue. This will affect its ability to hit them. You may not notice this at L24, but by 25-26 it will become more apparent.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
