Hey all. I was wondering since Drawing of Souls cannot be purchased what kind of price can Iexpect to pay for this if I find the rare. Has anyone had this drop and from what kind of mobdid it drop from. I'd really like to get this but 3p is kinda high for me. Would it be worth it topay 3p for this at adept III?

buy or harvest a pearl/vanadium and pay the 10-20g to have it made.
3p for an ad3 is serious overkill. As someone has said harvest buy the rare and get a sage to make it up, very very nice spell.

Even though I can buy it, it's way too much I think. But then that's my server economy. Even the rareis over priced at 1p. Least that's what I think. I'll just find the time to harvest it. Hope I find it soon becausewhat I've been reading it's very cool.Tell me, do the spells exist throughout your game session? Or is there a timer to the available spells. I'vebeen reading to keep a hotbar for these and when they are gone they still exist in the hotbar but are notusable until you get them again.

u only get to use the spell u "take" once then its greyed out/needs to be cleared from ur hotbar, but at Ad3 u steal ad3 spells so its well worth getting the upgrade - but not at 3p lol
1p for the rare sounds about right. Just depends if you can be bothered to harvest.

If you have an extra hotbar put all your drawing souls spells on there, dont remove them. when you get them again they will go back to that same hotbar.

Thanks. Too bad they don't stick around for your gaming session. That wouldbe cool. I just hope I can find the rare soon enough to be able to get this. I've got too many essence ofanguish laying around doing nothing each and every time I go out. :smileyvery-happy:

Message Edited by sunmagic on 04-18-2006 07:44 AM
You use the debuff so much (or i do anyway) that you usually end up with a full complement of spells from it after a fight anyway.

Can you not buy drawing of souls from the Courts?Alternatively, you could always find someone who will make you the App IV for ultra cheap until you can find the rare.

It's only available in Adept and I assume Master. Youeither have to get this from a drop or have a sage make the Adept III.

The quick Drawing of Souls rundown:

Drawing of Souls (and the other t6 Ancient Teachings spells) can be crafted at adept III from the recipe which can be purchased from the Courts (No Trade), or from a dropped (tradable) recipe. The spell can also drop as an Adept I or Master I.

The extra spells that you gain from Drawing of Souls do persist until used once - over a gaming session or longer. If you got Servile Soul from a mob dying under the effects of Drawing of Souls, for example, and didn't cast it, played the rest of the night, logged out and came back 4 days later, when you log back in you'll still have Servile Soul there ready to go. Once used, your spell book and hotbars will remember that you'd had the extra spell (icon greyed out), but they won't be available to be cast until 'recharged' from another use of Drawing of Souls.

Spells gained from Drawing of Souls are at the same quality as you have Drawing scribed; i.e., have Drawing of Souls adept III, all gained spells will be adept III quality. One of the quick ways I tell from my hotbars if one of these extra spells is charged or not is to mouseover them on my hotbars - if charged, they'll show as adept III (in my case), if not, they're slightly greyed out and display as being app I.

What's it worth? That varies from player to player and server to server. I consider it to be a very useful spell, both for the debuff and the extra spells gained to be used in special circumstances, when I need that extra something special. If there is an Adept I version on the broker reasonably priced, I'd generally buy that until I'd harvested the rare to have the adept III made - and then keep my eyes open for master availablility. Only you can really decide what it's worth to you.

Hope that helps, and answers most of your questions.

Nice to know what I have to look forward too. It's kind of funny too becauselast night I found an Adept I on the broker and ran to pick it up. So I'm now set until I find the rare tomake the Adept III. Looking forward to having the extra abilities when I need them. :smileyhappy:
