What rare harvests needed for what spell upgrades?

<font size="4"><font face="Arial"><font size="3">Bit of a newbie question I'm afraid, but I don't want to have to bank every rare I ever harvest, and a lot of googling has left me with very little useful information on this. Is there somewhere that has a list of all "rare" harvests that are needed for necro spells? I know it's the gem/ore rares that are needed for spell scrolls, but which ones for necros, and which one for which spell? How do I find a scholar to upgrade it for me? What am I missing here?I'm finding it  frustrating hopping on a server with a mature economy as a newbie to the game - I can't remotely afford any of the upgraded spells listed on the market, so trying to harvest the ingredients and getting the spells made is about the only option I have. Any advice greatly appreciated.</font></font></font><div></div>

It's the same type of rare for every spell. Lapis for 1-9, Coral for 10-19, palladium/jasper for 20-29, opal/ruthenium for 30-39, ruby/rhodium for 40-50, pearl/vanadium for 51-60, moonstone for 61-70Note that once they remove subcombines, the following rares will no longer be valid for spells: palladium, ruthenium, rhodium, vanadium<div></div>

As well, you can usually ask your local sage (or the trade channel) and they'll help you out with what they need to make the spells for you (though Magus' summary was spot-on).

<div>Starting a new character on a server with a mature economy doesn't mean you can't afford spells. I know... I started a new necro on a server with a quite mature economy and so far, so good (lvl 35; adept III pets; 2 master DoTs; 50gp in the bank; no seling rares, only found 4 and they went into spells/wand). Most of your spells will be of adept I quality, but that's not so bad. All you need is knowledge of the game to do well in it, so hit google for info on some cool quests, and do them! You'll level, have a ton of fun, and make money all at the same time. And don't forget to tradeskill.</div><div> </div><div>Oh, and by the way - the apothecary books are the bane of my sage, now that I can afford them - I can't find any! So making adept III spells is a pain, not to mention it's embarassing for a sage to order ink from another scholar <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Does anyone know when the change is going in?</div>
