since spells arent up much on the broker (i buy em when theyre up though), i spend a lot of my gold on equipment upgrades to maximize my effectiveness despite not being able to upgrade spells, and i had a question. When choosing one item over another, is it better to have something that will give a bigger intelligence boost than the other item but not give as much of a power boost, or get something that gives a bigger power boost but not as much int as the other item? Usually in the range of 1-3 int difference, and 1-10 power difference (at my lvl.) Thoughts?EDIT: an example. say im choosing a robe. one robe has 15 int and 20 power (at my lvl the 15int = 60 power, so 80 power boost total) and another robe has 13 int and 35 power (87 power boost). Which should i choose? The one with more int, or the one with more power?

Message Edited by Spockmaster on 03-07-200601:32 PM

In general, I personally take +INT over +power if having to choose between the two, and there isn't a huge difference between the two stats on the item. Mainly because we have so many ways of manipulating power (and getting it back), that I'll go to push my spell damage up a little with the higher INT.

That said, there will likely be situations that break that 'rule' - if you know you're always capping INT on raids or whatnot, but it's a general guidline I personally use.

Though, it likely matters very little either way - chances are slim that 2 more points of INT will result in noticable spell damage increase, unless you cross some threshold. Conversely, 7 points of power difference will rarely make the difference in a fight.

So, in cases like these, my real advice comes into play...

Wear the one that looks cooler.
