Hi there. I wanted to get some solid affirmation on PBAoE damage and effects on Blighted Pack, Ghastly Stench, Tank Pet and Assassin Pet. I know the Warlock pet AoEs so I never use it on raids. I raided with my guild last week, and our raid leader commented that Blighted Pack was producing a slight AoE taunt. I'd like to get some feedback on this from the experts here on the pets I mentioned. Thanks!

Blighted Pack does not taunt. However, because of the damage it is capable of putting out, it can (and often does) pull aggro.None of our pets do a PBAE attack; it is all encounter based.

The blighted pack does not taunt nor do any AoE damage. Just single target only. And, on most raid mobs they do not do a lot of damage (I have Master II). These pets do crushing damage. Prior to the most recent patch, the dogs would do absolutely no damage to raid mobs that were crush immune. Also, these dogs used to NOT get hit by AoEs, but that has changed with the last patch. I now use the dogs to call when AoEs land (ie for jousting).

In regards to not using Warlock/wizards pet on raid, you are missing out. If it is a single mob, that is resistant to piercing...are you still going to use your assasin pet? A good example of this is on Sunchild.

In regards to Ghastly Stench, this pet does do some AoE damage. So, when using a mezzer during raids, do not use this pet.

Yes, but the dogs vanishing is a good cue to start counting until the next blast.

That or the sudden decrease in life of those close to the encounter when it hit, but whatever works for you I guess. :smileyindifferent:

Pretty simple, understand? This helps in getting the exact time down for each AoE.

Message Edited by Erena on 02-07-200611:58 AM

Do you think I would've been allowed in TDS not knowing what a AoE timer was :smileywink: (well when I thought high-end raid guilds were fun anyways)

Message Edited by Jasuo on 02-07-200603:24 PM
