If I understand this right, you can do the betrayel (finishing it at 20) and then you would be able to move to Qeynos?

Can any class do this betrayel and if yes then how do you get your spells going up to lvl 60? have someone make them or a trainer somewhere?

Betrayal can be started anytime from level 10 to level 17.If you ding 18, you can't betray. Once you start betraying, your level is capped at 17.Because of this, you can NOT do your subclass quest and still betray. You can not be a Necromancer in Qeynos, same with all other good/evil classes. This will not change with the new class system either.

Sorcerers, Warriors, Bards, and Druids are all neutral (both sub-classes in both cities). Everything else is city-based sub-classes.

Considering that the Betrayal quest has nothing to do with Kingdom of Sky, yes, you will still be able to betray after Live Update 19.

Lots of speculation, and they definitely said that there still will be a way to, but I don't think there's a hard statement on how exactly it's going to work.

Actually, they have.

Gallenite said:Our plans for Betrayal work out like this.1) The betrayal path and level range in which you can betray your home town remain the same as they are today.2) The quest does change slightly at the end. If you are a non-native class in your new town, the end of the qust will also change your class to its opposite-aligned counterpart. At that point, you are a person of the new class with Apprentice I abilities.Later, as we expand the definition and role of Factions in the cities, we may be exploring the idea of faction-based betrayal that supports city betrayal at all levels. However, we will definitely not be including that in this initial rollout of 1-20 class progression.

As I interpret it, if you are a level 17 necromancer and you betray to Qeynos, when you finish the quest you become a level 17 conjuror, lose all of your necromancer spells, and gain all of your conjuror spells (at Apprentice I rank).
Message Edited by Xalmat on 01-15-200602:47 PM

I for one believe people are misreading the dev post, or the dev wasn't quite clear, based on other posts I've seen.

Who'd want to go AWAY from a necromancer once they've experienced it? There's no going back...

I've played on test...As it stands, if I go buy a L8 "summoner" spell and scribe it, that spell automatically turns into the L8 Necro appropriate spell. So if you're a L17 Necro and you betray, you will turn into a L18 Conj with all of your necro spells converted to the exact same tier Conj spells. You don't loose anything in the conversion.

It still doesn't explain betrayal in the least.

I'm on test now. Just hit L12, trying to psyche myself up to do the betrayal. to Qeynos...But I'd bet $1000 that all they're doing is remapping 1 spell to another. So all tier upgrades will be maintained.
