<div>hi guys, im just wondering if any high lvl necros are using seism in duels.</div><div>whilst playing with a friend we were testing out old spells and came accross seism.</div><div>it affected both myself and another 60 necro. 100% of the time, but i dont have the greatest wis(around 120)so i tried against a healer friend and to my suprise it knocked a 60 warden with 450+wis off his feet for 4 secs. i thought this was weird for a lvl 16 adept1 spell, so we retested it, again and again. it landed every single time. and witha 2 sec cast it became my fastest stun.</div><div> </div><div>anyone else getting the same results?</div>

<div></div>I've used Seism with success in duels. The main thing is cast time... I can cast fear a lot faster. So I usually try a Fear/Stun as an opener.

The knockback part of it will not be resisted.</div><div> </div><div>And for the guy who said fear is casted faster: Fighters have insta-cast stuns or stifles. this is where seism shines.</div><div>Since it is PBAE you can cast it before the duel starts. Its tricky to time, but when done right it will go off instantly when the battle starts and you'll knock em down. Then you have all the time to cast fear/stun whichever you like.</div><div> </div><div>I won lots of duels thanks to seism</div>

Seism grows with our levels ? That is awesome news, 2 weeks ago I managed to swap another class Master for Seism Master1 on my newly created 'soon-to-be-Necro' and had no idea it would grow with me <span>:smileyvery-happy:</span>Which other spells grow with us ? I need to look out for them.<div></div>

<div></div><div></div><p>It doesnt really grow with us - its just still useful at level 60, if that makes sense. It also shares a timer with our PBAE lifetap line - which will be used alot more often in higher levels - but we can use Seism if we want the knockdown + Stun.</p><p>Same with Swarm of Bats (lvl 35 Bloodlines) - it doesnt do more damage at 60 then it did at lower levels - but it does piercing damage and is useful on disease immune mobs.</p><p>Word of Force (lvl 20 Splitpaw), however does scale with you and is also good for disease immune mobs.</p><p>Message Edited by Eirgorn on <span class="date_text">01-11-2006</span><span class="time_text">10:46 AM</span></p>

I wouldn't be too dependant on it anyway, I've started trying to avoid using it in general. It seems almost certain that when they revamp levels 1-19 and we get more "necro-ish" spells at those levels that instead of getting seism (a conjuror spell line) we will get a lower level version of our pbae lifetap (a necro spell line).<div></div>

conj cast their aoe 1.5 sec b4 the duel begins... am automatically stunned when combat starts... the only defence/offence i have is seism... allowing me to get a spell off faster than any other spell i have (including fear)...if we lose seism... how to beat a conj that does this?<div></div>
