Necro class traits.

<DIV>I'm a level 23 necro, quickly working my way toward level 24 so I can get that awesome new pet. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  But today, after I was complaining about how I could take harder hits than my level 20 pet, someone told me that if I had chosen a certain trait/spell at level 20, then I'd have an extremely powerful pet?!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well, honestly, I didn't really pay much attention to the trait descriptions.  I just looked at the stats, and if I saw a cooldown of 1500 seconds or something, i just passed along....only wanting to go with passive traits.  But wow, I totally feel like a fool now.  If only I had read each one.....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My question to all of you.....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Is there a list/compliation of all the necro traits such as this, so that I can plan ahead and be prepared to choose when the time comes?  I'd hate to make that type of mistake again?  I've looked around, and still can't find a true list.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks in advance for any help you all can provide.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Vhayne D'Nyle -- 23 Dark Elf Necromancer</DIV>

You desperately need to read <a href=http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=30&message.id=11786#M11786 target=_blank>this section</a> in the necromancer FAQ. And the rest of it, but this for sure. Also, do NOT use your level 20 pet to tank for you. It is a warlock, and thus fragile. Group-only (in almost all cases).

<div></div><p>Thanks.  I was aware of the spellbinder being a warlock, and usually used as a group only pet.  My comment about him was basically that he's like a faster, weaker version of me. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />  I have like 700+hp, he has about 300 lol.  He can throw out some dps though.</p><p>However, my original question still stands.  About this uber-pet I missed at level 20.....heck I can't even remember what it was I chose as my trait (I think maybe the +5 power regen), I wish I had noticed it before.  Is there a current list of traits available to necros?  I would really love to see a list. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<div></div>The "uber pet" at level 20 that someone told you about is no longer in the game. Before the major spell revamp at level 20 (iirc) we could select from a list of training spells. Basically they were major upgrades to some of our old spells and one was called Fallen Hero. It was a super beefy tank pet that some argued was better than our tank pet we got at level 24. After the revamp however all of these training options were removed and we were given our master 2 choices at 24.

The Summoner's Tower (link in my sig) has a full Necromancer spell list, as well as all the traits, traditions, etc that you get as you level. I also keep a very useful list of Adept III spells you should consider getting.
