Was wondering what more experienced Necros here thought of the Tae Ew Prophet Robe vs. Robe of the Invoker?

Since the rock nerf on Invoker, where does the Tattered robe drop? Just off the lizardmen in that area? Lizardmen all over? Any critter in the zone? Body drop or chest drop?

Just curious if I should take the time farming for the tattered robe drop, or just go with the Prophet robe since it also has regen as well as FT?

Power regen is not a huge issue for us Necors, at least IMHO. You can leech mana from pet and we have our dark hearts. Get a good drink.

-Kaif

60/60 Neco/Sage

Faydark

I have both the Tae Ew Prophet Robe and the Robe of the Invoker. I also have a Pristine Imbued Cambric Blouse and a Keeper's Robe of Quiescence. I prefer the Tae Ew Prophet Robe for the added health regen and the distinction of not looking like the multitude of Dime-A-Dozen casters on the server with Robe of the Invoker (ok, I'm a fasion [Removed for Content]). I have not even worn the Robe of the Invoker in a long time. The power regen given by the Robe of the Invoker is not really needed for us necros once we get Lich. I find the health regen of the Tae Ew Prophet Robe and the Lambent Imbued power of the Pristine Imbued Cambric Blouse to be far more important than the power regen. I use the Keeper's Robe of Quiescence as my raiding robe for the +25 to INT.

Thanks for the thoughts, Shadow.

Yeah my thought was to lean more toward the Prophet for the regen effect. I honestly dont think I've *ever* run out of manna.

I managed to run out of mana last night, I was running around PoF looking for gobbo sorcerers while a group mate was in combat round the corner for a bit. M1 lich pretty much killed me and my guild just laughed. /sigh.

Back on topic - I stick with the +25 int robe, there are a few other FT items out there (ie prismatic et al) to make the mana lost on not wearing RoI not too big an issue, Im ashamed to say I havent got the Prophet robe to drop.

I got the prophet robe at lvl 45 and love it. It 'looks' evil, and it is ( or was) rare at the time as I have not yet seen it on anyone else. Obviously more people are aware of it now, but I enjoyed a brief period of looking different ...

He spawns in the room between the Warlord and Torturer spawn rooms. This is the room with the big cauldron in it with stairs on each side leading up to it, and I passageway in the back to go deeper into CT (back to SoF). The High Priest is lvl 48 and spawns up near the cauldron. He has place holders and a decently (15-20min?) spawn time but doesnt seem to be that rare.
