I must be doing something wrong

In the EQ2 podcast thread, people talk about routinely soloing triple-up mobs. This is even from necros near my level (50). But for me, they just tear through my pets like nothing.I have a fair number of adept 3 spells, so what techniques are you guys using?

Ya got to think out side the box big fella .. if ya search the forums you will find the way but when i solo ^^^ blue and up my pet is only around for the powertap.

<P>Sad but true - you can't use the pet to solo ^^^ mobs in a stand up fight (except in beta when we were gods). Its pretty much a snare/root/lich proc routing for a long time to kill them.</P> <P>Sark.</P>

<DIV>Actually at lvl 50 I was able to pet tank the white con lvl 50^^^ sandgiants in SS. This was using an adapt 3 rotting thrall and master 2 defensive buff. Granted my pet died everytime but I was able to lifetap and finish him off before I died without ever using a root or snare. At 50 I could also do this with the Spectres by the SS docks and have my pet live thru it. So it can be done. Not really useful for xp or anything else other than the satifaction of knowing you can do it though. </DIV>

I had seen that technique around here before, but was reluctant to resort to such.Oh well. If that's how, I might have to use that on occasion for quests, etc. Thanks Sark.
