Level 24 Master 2 Choice, thoughts and opinions?

<DIV><FONT color=#33cc00>Hey all,</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#33cc00>Tried searching for info regarding the Level 24 Master 2 choices, didn't find anything at all.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#33cc00></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#33cc00>What's the genereal consensus, is one of the choices pretty much a "given?" Right not I'm thinking it's between Lifetap and Swarm of Rats, but not sure what to expect down the line in regards to spells.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#33cc00></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT color=#33cc00>So any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.</FONT></DIV>

Swarm of Rats is the most popular choice, and one I highly recommend. I personally went with Lifetap, but <I>only</I> because I already had Swarm of Rats at Adept III at the time.

I went with Lifetap but Swarm of Rats would have been my only other choice.

Lifetap here and if I had to do it over again it'd be lifetap again!!.  Swarm of rats is sweet enough but I've had the M2 version of that spell and the adept 3 version and honestly I didn't see much if any difference.<div></div>

Lifetap for me as I really don't think rats would have saved my life as many times. <div></div>

I actually went with rats myself.  I figured since the rats scale with level, it'd be a bit more useful in the long run.  Of course, you should try and get adept 3 of the one that you do not choose for master 2 since they are both really good spells.

Grisly Stele, the one you didn't list. Necromantic Symbol is not one of the four choices, though it was during DoF Beta.

Well then, aren't you a lucky devil? <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />In that case, I'd probably lean towards Rending Frenzy. No matter how you slice it, the pet heal is just awful when it's most needed, and upgrading it to Master II won't make any difference. However the DPS boost from Rending Frenzy will boost the DPS from all of your pets, no matter the situation, and will see much more mileage than the heal.<p>Message Edited by Xalmat on <span class=date_text>12-25-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:22 AM</span>

I went with the heal at 44.  I don't regret it.  Personally though they're all equally as useless.  There's not too much of a difference between adept 3 and master 2 for all of the spells.
