<DIV>I want to start by saying i love my necro i gave up playing my level 48 pally to start one before the first combat revamp and have loved it eversince and i just dinged 53 lastnight. but what i relized last night is how awesome we are on raids. i was running around doing everything back up healing were needed rezing so a pally or healer didnt have to break off to take care of it and providing some really good dps. Necros are really a great utility class and i have loved palying mine from day 1 any ways just wanted to share my thoughts from a very excited Necro. take care all</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

If you're wanting something with just as much versatility I'd say try a bard class. You've got tons of buffs, deaggros, stuns, charms, debuffs, dds, stealth... all that jazz. As long as you stay in groups you're golden. Go solo and you tend to just do the same attack patterns over and over until the bad guy falls down. While in groups though, you can do mini crowd control, pick just the right buffs and debuffs for that particular fight or to cater to the classes in your group. Not too shabby really. And the hands on melee is a nice change from the necro's approach. Don't get me wrong. Necro's gonna be my main but every few days I like spending an hour or two playing my bard.

<P>I was thinkin of a bard. Whats the main difference from the good vs. evil bards?</P> <P> </P> <P>-Kaif</P> <P>60/60 Necro/Sage</P> <P>Faydark</P>

The short and easy version? Troubs buffs are better for mages and they lean more toward elemental debuffs. Dirges have more melee-centric buffs and debuff noxious and disease. And you can be either class in either city. They're considered the neutral class.

<DIV>I believe you can be a dirge/troub reguardless of alignment. I did the betrayl quest with my woodelf bard to make him a dirge and then realized I could've just stayed in qeynos...DOH!</DIV> <DIV>Anyways yes Necro's kick much butt, I always compete for DPS no matter where, usually come out on top cept for really quick fights and large groups of little mobs.</DIV> <DIV>It's always fun to compete with conjurors too cuz if you know both summoner classes pretty well you begin to realize how unbalanced they are lol, then you just get annoyed :smileytongue:!</DIV>

Greetings dark ones!I just could not agree more! Loved the Necro from day one, hated it after SOE removed the Fallen Hero and rendered soloing anything a death wish! But after latest update we are back in business and its back to the best of it.It is good to know that somebody at SOE loves us Necros too. <span><blockquote><hr>Sir Alex wrote:<div>I want to start by saying i love my necro i gave up playing my level 48 pally to start one before the first combat revamp and have loved it eversince and i just dinged 53 lastnight. but what i relized last night is how awesome we are on raids. i was running around doing everything back up healing were needed rezing so a pally or healer didnt have to break off to take care of it and providing some really good dps. <DIV>Necro is amazingly useful class for raid. I've played wizzy, dirge (current main), and necro (box him often in raid as well), and necro is by far my favorite. The utility is wonderful. To be able to give a heal boost here and there to the MT and healers in first raid group is amazingly helpful. To rez people is very cool too. And, the good dps. Lots of versatility, and as a result is fun to play. Hope it lasts....</DIV>
You guys forgot to mention that dirges can rez too <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>
