I was wondering, has anyone done any parses of single target and group encounters with warlock and assassin pets? I'm wondering if the warlock pet's DPS has really increased significantly. <div></div>

It aoes better.. and on all the millions of pierce immune raid mobs, it will do more dps then the stupid pierce only assassin pet. Not sure how many mobs a fight has to be before its worth it to use warlock over assassin, I would think maybe 5 or more.<div></div>

Is it even worth upgrading the 32 level pet for groups , or should I keep using the caster pet? Im Using caster pet , with boon buff , both adept 3 for groups. This sound right?<div></div>

But she group lifetaps and heals like crazy now, not for a lot, but like all the time..

<DIV>In a group I had last night, it was a bruiser (me) a defiler (my girlfriend) and a necromancer. All lvl 40. We did all of RE (minus the Lord's room) with little effort. He used the mage pet for most of the time. That mage pet was amaising. He pulled an assassin pet so I could see the comparison (I havn't logged my 50 necro in since October) The only thing the assassin pet has going for itself now (from what I could see) is that it does not use AE. Mage pet was clearly better. It even did a few attacks at range before closing in.</DIV>

Get a parser, you would be suprised.Assassin pet also does bug debuffs for named mobs, makes them easier.<div></div>

<DIV>I noticed my warlock pet healing liek crazy now too. Shes adept 3, and the level 48 or 47 or wahtever level I got her at pet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>She heals for between 40-70 for the entire group, and seems to aoe like crazy as well. I normally hate that pet, but I think I may start using her more.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I will parse the difference between her and my assasin pet. I do know however, that my assasin pet deals heavy damage</DIV>

Can someone recommend a good parser and provide a working link? That one that everybody always used seems to be defunct.<div></div>

<P>combat stats still exsists....</P> <P> </P> <P>do a search for combat stats on the forums, you'll find a link.</P> <P> </P> <P>The one I use..is <A href="http://www.adventure-assistant.com/" target=_blank>www.Adventure-assistant.com</A></P> <P> </P> <P>Cost 5 bucks to use it after january..but it reads guild chat, group chat,/tells, all that garbage which is usefull for me since I play 2 toons always. (have too to enjoy my guardian at all..he sucks, but with a necro, he pwns <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> (all necro though, shh, don't tell the guardian)</P> <P>It also shows healing done, damage takin blah blah.</P> <P> </P> <P>ONly downside is that it does not show the DPS for EVERYone in the paste...but you can see it by alt tabbing to the prog.</P> <P>I heard its being added though.</P><p>Message Edited by GurgGuardianLord on <span class=date_text>12-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:28 AM</span>

<div></div>After doing a little searching, I found a website based out fo the UK called Combat stats. It seems some other EQ2'ers have gone there wondering if it was the same as I did. On this UK sites forums I found a post with a link to the above combat stats forums and to a post with a link to version 2.5.8. ( Kind of confusing heh) It's the last post in the thread. <a href="http://www.combatstats.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=268" target="_blank"> Enjoy!</a> <div></div><p>Message Edited by hitchiker on <span class=date_text>12-22-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:48 PM</span>

I'm using it, and it's great, but it's not reading swarm pet or dumbfire damage! Bleh!<div></div>

Well that's a bummer. I had hopes of using it tonight when I got home from work. Here is a couple more links to other parsers that I found while searching. I have not tried any of these either..... <a href="http://home.inreach.com/kai/EQCompanion/" target=_blank>EQ Companion -free</a> <a href="http://www.eqpixie.com/" target=_blank>EQ Pixie -Has a fee but a trial as well</a> <a href="http://parsemania.chase.net.au/" target=_blank>Parsemania - Free and Open Source</a> <div></div>

<DIV>I use the following Parsers:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Combat Stats, old version, no d/l link</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Advanced Combat Tracker, by far THE BEST large group ( raid ) parser out there. It parses damage, heals, dmg taken, etc etc. Only gripe is that it doesn't have specific names of the spells. If you use it on a raid, it will automatically export the top 9-11 damage dealers ( as limited by EQ2's max text length ) to your clip board.</DIV> <DIV><A href="http://home.maine.rr.com/eqaditu/ACT/" target=_blank>http://home.maine.rr.com/eqaditu/ACT/</A></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Statalyzer, developed by the person that runs the scouts sanctuary ( i think ). Search their forums at <A href="http://www.thescoutssanctuary.com/index.php" target=_blank>http://www.thescoutssanctuary.com/index.php</A> for it, maybe you'll find it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Statalyzer has very detailed spell damages including a total breakdown of what spells did what damage, how many hits, misses, max dmg, min dmg, avg dmg, etc etc etc. Only gripe is that it doesn't copy results to clipboard and theres no real way to share your information without retyping it so it all looks neat. And it doesn't tell you what type of damage the spells are.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Going to stick with Combat Stats for now, as it's actually comprehensible, whereas EQ Companion is way, way overkill for me. I just wish Combat Stats included swarm and dumbfire damage. No wonder I was always so frustrated when the dirge pulled out the parser that first time in Permafrost.<div></div>

Too many people just look at simple damage figures and don't think about them. All manner of buffs, debuffs and damage shields from the other classes impact dps numbers. It's just not as simple as having the highest number on the clipboard. <span>:smileyindifferent:</span> </span><div></div><p><span class="time_text"> </span></p><p>Message Edited by Uanelven on <span class=date_text>12-23-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:45 AM</span>
