<DIV>Ive been doing some testing and have found the following............... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Neither my assasin nor tank pets will procure master level consumption regardless of how often they hit................... they act as if the spell isnt there.......... but oddly enough my mage pet will procure it 50% of its hits..................this is to include each offensive and defensive stance..... it simply isnt working.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Secondly my assasin now does nothing but piercing damage and special attacks......... no slashing what so ever... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>due to the fact I havent spent a lot of time with my mage pet and my tank pet has always been reliable I dont know how those have been effected adversely... but I can tell you ... the mage pet is much more powerful than it was before</DIV>

I have consumption Master 1 also, and I noticed it didn't seem to be doing anything. I kept checking my chat options thinking I had spell damage off or something. I finally saw it proc off my master grim terror after five or six casts.

<DIV>Well, there are several reasons why you're not seeing Consumption proc'ing on your tank and caster. First of all, tanks (presumably in defensive) are slowed, and therefore don't attack very quickly or often. Since Consumption only procs on successful attacks, then a slowed pet won't do much for you. As for the mage, before LU18, their attacks were rather spread out, and some people said that Consumption only went off when the mage pet actually melee'd and that it did not proc on casting. I have seen it go off on casts just as much as I have seen it not go off on casts that landed, so I am not sure myself. Due to the necessity of your pet actually attacking, the scout pet is the vastly superior choice for making Consumption proc since it is attacking almost non-stop and with haste (the same reason why you should charm melee classes instead of caster mobs - they just attack more often). Finally, you did not see Consumption working today since procs are temporarily broken. They're only going off on weapons in the main (right) hand and not the left, essentially cutting the amount of times the spell goes off in half. Furthermore, your pet is not going berserk as much, nor is the debuff landing properly. Hopefully, SOE will fix this sooner than they have fixed broken content in the past.</DIV>

<P>Is there a link someone can point me to where the devs have recognized a proc bug? Just want to make sure this is going to get fixed.</P> <P>Thanks!</P>

With the proc changes that went live, <STRONG><U>pets that use procs </U></STRONG>aren't doing much (if any) damage. We're going to be addressing this issue, of course.
