can i use my level 24 pet forever?

Heyhey, do I have to upgrade when the new pets become available? or will the old pets keep scaling as I level? - Yes! U will get other pets later, for different uses (Mage, Scout, Tank). It is, specially as a pet class ESSENTIAL to upgrade as quickly as possible. also, I tried EQ traders to try to find recipe for adp3 pet scrolls (past 24) but either their database is very incomplete or the scroll isn't craftable? advise? - all pets are craftable as Adept III. aside from getting new pet types, each pet gets a new spell version every 14th level after you got the pet. The old pet will stop leveling beyond the level of the new pet so eventually it will become blue and green, making it useless as its lower level then the new pet. in my opinion your pet is one of the most important spells to upgrade (the zombie if you solo most of the time, the scout if you group most of the time) and especially if you solo a lot its nice to have the zombie at adept III. This requires a rare of the tier of the spell (lvl 38 is ruthenium and opal if i remember corrrectly) and a sage can make the spell for you <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> <div></div>

Your 24 pet stops scaling at level 37. It's HIGHLY advisable you upgrade your level 38 pet.
