It says in the test upate notes for TU18 that power regen in combat will be capped at .5 * level. From that description, it means that if I am lvl 52, i can only regen 26 power each tick whilst in combat? Does lich get factored in to this or not? With lich at 1% of your total power pool (approx 3300 atm), thats 33 power a tick for me at the moment. Does this mean lich will now be capped at 26 power a tick? Here is the exact wording from the notes - Item Health and Power regen rates now all use the same regeneration standard and cap out at the following currently: * In-combat HP regen cap is (3 x Level ) * In-combat Power regen cap is (.5 x Level) * In-combat item HP regen cap is (3 x Level x 0.5) * In-combat item Power regen cap is (1.5 x Level x 0.5) Guess we will have to wait and see until this goes live. Great to here about pets though. <div></div>

<DIV>I logged onto test just a little while ago and tested this while in combat.</DIV> <DIV>-level 50</DIV> <DIV>-3300 power</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I regen 30/tick with no lich. With lich I regen mana in two seperate ticks. One is 30 and another is the 1% from lich ( 33 in this case ). Basically, lich isn't affected by the mana regen cap.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>One thing I dont understand is this though:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><BR></DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE> <HR> * In-combat Power regen cap is (.5 x Level)<BR> * In-combat item Power regen cap is (1.5 x Level x 0.5)<BR> <BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE> <DIV>Say you're level 60.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Your in combat regen is capped at 30/tick.</DIV> <DIV>Your in combat regen from items is capped at 45/tick?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>How could your in combat item regen ever be 45 a tick when your max in combat regen is capped at 30? Shouldn't 30, or something lower, be the cap to item regen? The only thing that I can think of is your SPELL based ( breeze, bard regen ) is limited to 30/tick plus you can have 45/tick from items for 75/tick max regen. Obviously mana regen spells like lich, mana heart, pet mana taps would NOT fall into either of these catagories. Instead they would be able to exceed the supposed 75/tick regen cap.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm all confused. <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><BR></DIV><p>Message Edited by Named88 on <span class=date_text>12-09-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:06 PM</span>

<P>The 30 cap at 60 is based on your power pool and if you took those 5 regen traits.</P> <P>Has nothing to do with flowing thought and the like items from what i understand.</P>

<DIV>That first number for in-combat regen is 1.5, not 0.5. Total in-combat power regen is 1.5xlevel or 90/tic at lvl 60. Half of that can come from items.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

lich doesn't apply to that cap though right? cause i got master of it and 5k self buffed power so that alone puts me 10 above the cap <div></div>
When you look at LU18.. note that the topic for the info we are discussing is called: "Items" So logically speaking (not that SoE always goes the logical route), I would assume that Lich would not be affected. To have a master @ 2% and adept III at 1% of power, we'd be screwed either way and the master spell would be worthless, I'm sure SoE knows this. I currently have about 5500 power and master 1 lich, it's frelling nice how much power I regen. Would be sad to have our hole class screwed by this one regen issue.. but I highly doubt it to be an issue at all. If it ends up being an issue, I'll still love my necro, but it would be a sad day. <div></div>
