Stench pet questions - damage / upgrades?

<DIV>Hi, I've got a 53 necro with ad1 of the 49 stench pet.  On single hard mobs I use him with the doggies, but I actually have no idea how much damage he does, so I'm wondering if he's a waste of time.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Does anyone know how good the damage on the stench pets are?  is it an ok DOT, or would I be better off casting the AE dot line instead?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Second - does anyone know how well the upgrade from AD1 to AD3 is for the stench pet?  I saw an old post that said it was very little, but it looked like that was from before LU13/LU16 so I wasn't sure if the upgrade mattered now.  I have a rare that I got a good deal on, and I'm debating whether to AD3 the stench pet, the 49 group buff or the 49 AE dot.  Opinions?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<P>Looking at a log from a few nights ago, over 2 hours of fighting my Ghastly Corpse was going 25 minutes of the time for an average dps of 110.  </P> <P>I have it at ad3 and do not have any parses from when he was ad1 to be able to tell if it was a significant upgrade.</P>

I have lich, pets and some other spells upgraded.  It's just a choice on the spells I mention above
