<DIV>I am just kind of wondering if there is any reason to keep these both Adept 3, or if it is better to just pick one? Are there situations where the Warlock is better than the Assassin and vice versa, because when grouuping I have been using only my Assassin pet and haven't found any real need for the Warlock.. Am I missing something?</DIV>

<DIV>I feel the same way. I never use my caster pet. I had upgraded the tier 4 caster to adept 3 and hardly ever pulled him out. I feel like I wasted a rare on that one. I'm not even going to bother with the grim terror... unless I happen to find the master version. Most of us believe the caster pet is simply broken.</DIV>

<DIV>If your like me, I like to have all my spells adept 3 or better, especially if the devs decide to make soemthing better or if a good spell gets crappier. The grim terror pet isn't much use in my opinion, at the moment anyways, its still a fun spell to have a adept 3 just for looks and if they do fix it, it will be worth it will probably get a lot better. As for grouping you should always use your assassin pets, shadowy assassin adept 1 will out damage Diseased servant adept 3 from what I've found. DS is pretty worthless to if you have a good adept 3 or higher shadowy assassin, then when you hit 60 almost all your gonna do is group so I stick with the Nightshade.</DIV>
I like my nightshade adept III. I'd love to use the warlock, but the d^mn fool keeps running into melee range and gets the smackdown. Definitely broke.

Nightshade adept3 is much much better than the Grim Terror Master 1. Wish they would fix her up a bit. The latest boost to the assassin's DPS and the warlock's power is pointless in terms of the warlock. She never runs OOP because she is always dead before then <span>:smileysad:</span><div></div>
The funny thing to me is that I heard during the combat revamp that the caster pet would be the highest DPS pet. Maybe that will be correct someday.

<div></div>Shadow or Zombie. Grim is not a pet of choice for any situation once you have Shadow pet. Only thing you can cast it for is having a lamia running round after you. Worth the plat for master? Not sure. For 'master money' you could just pay some female woodelf (or ogre if that's your thing) the money to follow you and your assassin around calling you master. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Uanelven on <span class=date_text>11-30-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:35 AM</span>

<P>at 29 right now i can either use my zombie for a tank or use my little caster skeleton with horns which i think is the grim. When Im in group with somebody else that wants to tank I immediately switch to the caster for much faster damages. Sometimes if i forget to, people will remind me please get out your caster already, and afterwards we usually go through mobs a lot faster. I group often with an inq though and thats when i use the tank pet more, or if im solo. The inq will just stand there putting reactives on tank pet and i just stand there throwing out a hand full of mice now and then to keep the damages going, makes for a nice pull after pull night. Using a caster pet for this purpose would be silly, caster is for groups.</P>
