Nec AOE spells, are they encounter or ranged?

<DIV>OK I am a bit confused as to our AOE spells.  I just turned 37 and see that we have 3 lines of AE.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lifetap AOE's:</DIV> <DIV>Ghastly stench, etc.</DIV> <DIV>Blight/locust storm, etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Are these true AOE's or are they encounter?  If they are AOE's do they go thru walls?  The reason I ask is tonight in RV we were doing lots of concurrent mobs with a chanter who was mezzing.  I used the lifetap aoe's and the ghastly stench on most pulls and the chanter told me that mez was not breaking at all.  I am assuming the area of effect is super small?</DIV>

<P>Green background is target/encounter based AOE.</P> <P>Blue background is point blank AOE in a range around you, and is not encounter based.</P> <P>Dont worry about the names, just worry about the color background.  This is true for all classes with any type of AOE ability.</P>
