My str is is terrible because I got rid of most of my gear in order to get INT boosting stuff. Now I can hardly carry anything! It is currently 19 - is this really correct for an unboosted and unbuffed necro STR stat? bah.

What level, and what race are you?My level 30 necro only has 25 STR, and my 55 conjuror only has 30. I'd say you're doing about average. Really there's no real need to have a lot of strength, but if weight is an issue, I recommend getting some 10% or 19% weight reducing bags from tailors (the 19% bags require rare leather harvests), or get yourself a Bag of Sewn Evil Eye (heritage quest, recommend you do it no earlier than level 35).Unless I carry a very, very large amount of coin, weight has never really been an issue for me.

Yeah, what Xalmat said. Don't carry around boxes and delete your copper. Also I would suggest getting a str ring if you still have troubles with weight. A t6 rare str ring would double how much you can carry.

Yeah I have 26 str give or take...can carry 170 wgt max.

Luckily I have gotten the Huge and Large Collectors Pouches (30 and 24 slots), the EE bag (20?), and the Song Satchel from the Mute Bard (20 or 24?).

Helps a ton, but trying to carrying around resist gear really kills my encumberance totals.

Stats do not inherently go up with leveling. Just by getting new gear/buffs/traits.

<EDIT - I think you do get some increases for obtaining your class and subclass>

Message Edited by Eirgorn on 11-16-2005 12:22 PM

You get an AGI, STA, and INT boost when you become a Mage, Summoner, and Necromancer, one boost for each progression (for a grand total of 9 AGI, 6 STA, 15 INT).Generally, crafted gear is rich in STR, and poor in INT. If you don't mind trading off some INT for some STR, crafted armor is the way to go.Bank boxes intentionally weigh 100 stone. They're meant to go in your bank, not on your person!
Message Edited by Xalmat on 11-16-2005 11:49 AM

A pristine cobalt tablet in your ranged slot is your best friend.

Whenever I get a few thousand copper, I get burdened. That's with 38 STR. My solution is to just give all the copper to the tank, they rarely refuse

I don't know my str stat right off hand, but I am level 56 necro and the weight I can carry is 200. All of my gear is based on the int stat so I don't think I have anty str stats on them. I have never had a problem with being burdened and I have carried way over 5000 copper and 1000 silver at one time. If coin is your problem you can use the mail boxes to make copper into silver and such. If you are having that much of a problem with weight, I suggest you do the evil eye bage heritage quest and the mana stone quest. Those two items have really big weight reductions in them, one at 20% and the other at 30% I believe. Also the rare crafted bags have better weight reductions to them as well. If you have a second set of gear, keep it in the bank till you raid and then put it back. Hope that helps

It only takes me around 2,000 copper to slow down so my strength is probably as low as yours... I just destroy the pesky stuff personally. With all the bags and stuff my encumbrance is generally only around 40 I think with multiple sets of gear, showoff clothes etc. at the start of the night. It's all that copper... if I'm slowing down, I dump that foul stuff like a bad habit.

Minus a few self buffs here I am:Strength56 Agility57 Stamina117 Intelligence255 Wisdom140add about 50 to Int and Sta and thats about where I sit full buff solo with my cambric gear.

I had to approach this another way. Base, I can carry 190lbs. I do a lot of crafting and use two boxes. I was always burdened and would just have to deal with walks from the bank to the TS zone or in the TS zone being burdened. Last week, I got a +24 str belt from MotM and a +15 str ring from Silent City. Now I can carry 3 boxes at once and am not burden. So I would recommend going for a couple of high str items to help thing. It only took 2 for me and my whole MO has been changed.

IIRC I have 54 str at level 49. I have a mix of INT and crafted gear... I am also a Dwarf so I have some natural bennies in the STR area as well.Depending on your level, race and ability to get equipment (raid guild etc). It can be pretty easy to cap your int (I can't BTW).It is all about priorities. I generally prefer to swap soem int for STR. In the long term no fight I'm involved in will be thrown by the DMG difference between choosing 22 int over 22 str (and other assorted stats)... BUT I will be [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]ing and mumbling every day If I can't walk around without being overburdened.

Verified mine last night as 20. Your strength isn't too bad all things considered.

My STR is ~105, without ring buff. Im trying to keep it more than 100... and yea, I like to use boxes (carrying 3 on me all the time), and I like to have a lot of space in inventory. My INT self buffed is around ~445 (with ring + potion, have personal alch tho =), so INT isnt a problem for me neither.

I solo mainly so I dont get a chance to go after drops from major mobs but I have still found a good few items that give decent INT bonus.
