<DIV>Here are some parses from the last two nights (night before patch and night of patch) that we can use to analyze the changes to the assassin pet dps.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The pet is Ad3 and has the M2 offensive buff on him during both sets of parses.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Both sets of parses are a combination of all fights from a Scornfeathers Roost instance.  The group the first night consisted of (me) 56 necro, 60 warlock. 60 necro, 56 Gaurdian, 53 warden and a 55 fury.  The group the second night had (me) 57 necro, 60 warlock, 60 necro, 58 pally, 54 warden and 54 defiler.   </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So the warden and I both gained a level and changed out a tank and a healer.  I am not aware of any buffs from those classes that would augment my pets DPS that are not easily apparent in the tables, but I dont claim to know everything about all the classes.  Seems the only large factor in any change would be attributed to LU16, as I havent noticed much difference in scout DPS when comparing it versus white encounters or yellow encounters and with me only raising one level between the parses, Im fairly certain it did not cause any of the mobs in the Roost to go from orange -> yellow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Here are the parses: (note since they are different time lengths you need to look at dps and not total damage)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <P><IMG alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com" src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/Eirgorn/LU16petcomparison.gif"></P> <P>To compare it all, I took out the damage shields from the other classes, and compared all the damage by attack over the duration of the entire fight.  Then calculated the percentage increase/decrease.</P> <P><IMG alt="Image hosted by Photobucket.com" src="http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/Eirgorn/excelpic.gif"></P> <P>The change to Clawing of the Souls takes out about 6 DPS, but the overall effect of the changes tells me that either</P> <P> a) the increase in auto attack damage and other skills makes up for the nerf ...... OR</P> <P>b) the other abilities timers are random enough and the damage ranges wide enough that this isnt a large enough parse to tell any significant changes.  It seems the average damage may have went up on some of the abilities, but the proc rate went down......but that could all just be random.</P> <P>What do you all think?</P>

hmm, pet DPS for both looks low.  My pet was doing 300-350 dps pre-LU16 and is now around 150-230.

<DIV>Yeah I dont know what is up with the Roost, my pet usually averages 200-230 and has maintained over 300dps vs a 55X4 mob for over 2 min.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Not sure why both of these parses were so low, I'll have to do some digging to see what the differences are between these two sets and other fights.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Well I looked at the combined parses for Ancients Table before and after the update and they are both around 170, and then the Poets Palace before and after were both around 50-55 since that zone is still mostly orange to me.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Eirgorn on <span class=date_text>11-10-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:11 PM</span>

<DIV>The scout pets dps can change depending on which weapon set it is using.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The set that seems to do the most damage is the slashing spear and the curved butcher sword.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The worst set seems to be the stilleto and rapier.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>From what i have noticed so far there are atleast 6 different sets of weapons it can be summoned with equiped.  The weapon setup it has also will change if its melee attacks will be pierce or slash also which can make a huge difference on some types of mobs.</DIV>

I have, for me the spear setup is the one hardest to get, usually have to stand there summoning for 15 mins... <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>spellcheck...</DIV><p>Message Edited by Elikai on <span class=date_text>11-14-2005</span> <span class=time_text>06:34 AM</span>

I think they are referring to the leafblade - which looks like a spear.  Not sure if you have never seen that or are being technical  with calling it a spear:smileyhappy:

<DIV>Its easier calling it a spear since its a long stick with a big arrowhead on it but its used in a slashing motion instead of poking motion making it a slashing spear more or less.</DIV>

<DIV>The only time I've seen the 'spear' on my assassin was when I only had it at app1 at the time.  Since upgrading it to adept 3, the only weapon combos I've seen have been the piercing setup and the slashing setup.</DIV>

This reminds me of the early days of EQ1, you had to stand around re-summoning your pet till you got the highest level possible, talk about a pain.

<P>I've only seen the two, ever... I'm certainly not saying there aren't more assassin loadouts than the two, I just haven't seen them.  I'll test some of this tonight.</P> <P>And Nimmh, how the heck do you screenshot your EQCompanion parses?  For some reason I've never been able to figure that mystery of computers out.</P>
